Shaanxi Qinqiang Intangible Heritage 'Qin Doll'

"Da Qinqiang" is one of the few performances in Shaanxi that brings intangible cultural heritage performances to a large theater. A series of intangible cultural heritage such as Qinqiang, Huayin Laoqiang, shadow play, Wanwanqiang, rod puppets, and opera techniques are connected together. In the 40-minute performance, one can experience the rich flavor and customs of Xi'an , Shaanxi.

Everyone has their favorite Xi'an style in their memory. As the ancient capital of 13 dynasties, Xi'an has a long history and culture. At the same time, in the lives of ordinary people for thousands of years, those folk performing arts passed down by word of mouth are the "living fossils" of Xi'an's history and culture and the "roots" of the Chinese nation. The intangible cultural heritage performance "Daqin Opera" performed by Shaanxi Opera Theater is a new play, a new experience, an old culture, an old heritage. The collision of the old and the new brings richer innovative expressions and a stage effect with constant explosions.

Scene 1:

Wanwanqiang is a traditional Chinese opera, mainly popular in Shaanxi Province. It originated from the singing form of folk artists in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and gradually developed into a unique local opera form. Wanwanqiang is usually performed by one person alone, accompanied by percussion instruments and movements, and has a unique phonology and rhythm.

Act II:

The shadow play "Crane and Turtle" is a traditional Chinese opera performance form, which uses transparent shadow puppets projected onto a screen under light to tell stories, convey values ​​and show artistic expression through manipulation of shadow puppets. Shadow puppetry was first born in the Western Han Dynasty and has a history of more than 2,000 years.

The puppet show "Zhong Kui Explores the Road" is a traditional puppet performance form that originated from Chinese folk art. It usually consists of a wooden head and a handle. The actor controls the puppet's movements and expressions by holding the handle of the stick puppet to perform.

Act 4:

Huayin Laoqiang is one of the traditional operas in Huayin, Shaanxi Province, also known as "Huayin Tune" or "Shaanbei Laoqiang". It originated in the Qing Dynasty and has a long history and profound cultural heritage. Huayin Laoqiang is famous for its unique singing, performance form and opera style, and is known as the "national essence" of northern Shaanxi.

Act V:

《Opera Skills Show》 Shaanxi Peking Opera is one of the local operas in Shaanxi Province, also known as "Qinqiang" or "Shaanxi Qinqiang". It was developed on the basis of Peking Opera, combining multiple elements such as Han singing, Qinqiang and Peking Opera to form a unique style. Shaanxi Peking Opera is famous for its unique singing, performance form and opera style, and is hailed as a treasure in Chinese opera art.

Act VI:

Piaocai is a traditional folk art performance form that originated in Shaanxi Province. In the Piaocai performance, performers hold five-colored silk threads or ribbons in their hands and throw them into the air with specific movements and techniques, forming beautiful patterns and designs while dancing.
