I stopped by when I stayed overnight in Aizu Yanazu on the autumn leaves drive & Tadami line ride. The main purpose of the trip was to ride the Tadami Line, so there was no prior information at all, but I was surprised at its scale and location. There was a magnificent main hall on the cliff overlooking the Tadami River, which flows with Yu 々, and the contrast with the colorful autumn leaves was quite beautiful. It seems to be the birthplace of Akabeko, and several Akabeko are enshrined in the precincts. The Bodhisattva statue of the principal image is said to have been made by Kobo Daishi, and the official name is Fukuman Kokuzo Bodhisattva Enzoji ...
