The view of Mt. Fuji is wonderful from the mountain trail near the shrine. Also, from the observatory at the top, you can see Oshima across Tokyo Bay. It is an open landscape like climbing a tower. There was a rest area under the observatory, and some people had a picnic with their families. There are no shops, so you may bring a light meal with you.
