Interesting little Museum
Located near the JR Yokosuka train station. Free admission. Everything in Japanese but you can still enjoy the video, activities and marvel at the scope and size of the machinery in this building. So ...
If you are interested in スチームハンマー, we recommend a visit on the 4th Sunday where a demonstration by the 1/10 model will be held.

I visited when I learned that the oldest existing "スチームハンマー (designated as a national important cultural property)" was on display. Inside, "スチームハンマー" of 3トン and 0.5トン is exhibited, and demonstration by the 1/10 model of 3トンスチームハンマー (however, only the fourth Sunday of every month, next time is May 26 14:00 ~) and シュミレーション are also on display (see attached photo). If you are interested in スチームハンマー, do it on the fourth Sunday of every month ...
This is a small building in front of Yokosuka Station. It is said that it was built to convey the achievements of the French engineer Verney who created the Yokosuka Steel Works and the significance of the Yokosuka Steel Works to posterity for a long time. The memorial hall can be entered for free, and a real steam hammer designated as a national important cultural property (a machine tool that uses steam to power the hammer and processes metal materials with the force to fall). Is a masterpiece.
It is a memorial hall in Verney Park near JR Yokosuka Station. The overwhelming hammer that you can visit for free is amazing. You can see the former Yokosuka, which has many Western-style machines.
It is a memorial hall with a steam hammer in the building. It's free so you can easily enter. A steam hammer imported from the Netherlands once sits inside. JR Yokosuka Station is nearby.
