Jizo Statue that warms your heart

#thingstodo There is a stone Buddha holding a small child. It looks like it's been slightly weathered and it's hard to tell the expression on its face. However, it is a cute Jizo statue that warms your heart. Unfortunately, there is no information board. I would like to know why there is a stone Buddha holding a child here. It is located in Yokosuka area. It is small shrine but some people come here to worship.
