Still under construction
We walked around the lake to see the construction activity- looks like they are almost finished. It was a short walk around the lake. We were hoping to find more trails but could not.

This is a bit out if the way, but is a lovely little hiking area in the Echigo area. There are a couple of hiking trails that can take you anywhere from 45 minutes to all day. The gorge is rated o...
Japan's first arched sand barrier that continues to protect the city of Yuzawa
Original Text
It is a lake that was built by a weir that was blocked by the first arched Sabo dam in Japan, which has become a registered tangible cultural property. Since 1945, when this Sabo dam was completed, the city of Yuzawa has been protected from flood damage and has now developed as a tourist destination. This time, the dam was added, and it seems that it is a cleaning period after the construction, and a large crane was still installed on the temporary pier, which was a little disappointing, but I enjoyed walking around the promenade.
I think it's a quiet and nice place, but because it was under construction on a large scale, there were cranes, etc., and I wasn't in a state where I could enjoy the scenery. I'm sorry.
