love is blue

Fort McHenry is located in Baltimore, the birthplace of the American national anthem. In the Second Anglo-American War, Fort McHenry, which was built by the river and surrounded by water on three sides, played a very important strategic role. After the fall of Washington, the U.S. Army repulsed the British attack with the impregnable castle here. As a result, Francis Scott Key's patriotic enthusiasm was greatly encouraged, prompting him to write the famous poem that became the American national anthem. There are also some original cannons and a 40-foot-long, 30-foot-high, 15-star, 15-colored Star-Spangled Banner in the castle, which is admired by thousands of people. Opposite the castle's visitor center is a tall statue of George Armistead, the commander of the fort. Visitors can experience the history of the American-style fort and the War of 1812 under the explanation of the staff.
