The sea hell is one of the eight hells in the Beppu tourist route "Beppu Hell Tour", and it is also the largest one. It was formed 1200 years ago when Tsurumi Mountain erupted. Because the water quality is rich in ferric sulfate, the pool water presents a clear azure blue color, giving people the feeling of looking at the sea, but the temperature is as high as 98 ℃.
