"Baicao Square", also called "Vanilla Square", sounds sweet and greasy. This is one of the lively places in the old city of Verona. It was used for civil arbitration and political assembly in Roman times. Nowadays, it is a living market during the day, with tourists like weaving, and at night it is a souvenir market with bright lights.
Most of the buildings around the square are from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. The styles of each family are quite different. Venice has ruled here for more than 4 centuries. The "flying lion" stone pillars on site are witnesses to this history.
Piazza dei Piazza is a great place, a place you will pass many times when you go to Verona. You will eat there too, maybe more than once. There are many stalls for tourists, and those stalls occupy too much of the square. I have seen Baicao Square when there were no stalls. The scene was much more beautiful and beautiful than when there were stalls. But you will like it anyway.
Piazza del Pablo is the heart of Verona’s old town. There are many old buildings, including the towering Torre dei Lamberti (Torre dei Lamberti), the Palazzo Maffei (Palazzo Maffei) with a Baroque facade, and the Renaissance exterior walls. Painted Mazzanti Palace (Case Mazzanti), a typical medieval building merchant's house (Domus Mercatorum) and the ancient Verona Virgin's Fountain and so on. Now it is full of restaurants, cafes, souvenir shops and various markets, which is very lively.
After visiting Juliet’s former residence, Baicao Square is the next stop. Leisurely strolling around the market in the square, eating fruits and ice cream, and admiring the ancient architecture of the Renaissance, a very laid-back town. The red sightseeing car has also become a beautiful scenery line.
After seeing Juliet’s former residence, I ate ice cream at this place with my friends. This square has a retro feel, there are many delicious and beautiful things around, you can easily pass the time.
