Bosque Del Apache National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center

Established in 1939 in southern New Mexico to provide sanctuary and breeding grounds for migratory birds and other wildlife, the Apache National Wildlife Refuge is one of the most spectacular sanctuaries in North America. The Apache National Wildlife Refuge has a large area of floodplains, wetlands, grasslands and foothills. The species-rich natural ecological environment creates a good living space for animals and plants here. This is a world-renowned bird-watching destination, with more than 300 different bird species in the reserve, including a large number of waterfowl, shorebirds and raptors. Plus, it's a great place to watch the migration of sandhill cranes in the fall. The reserve offers many activities for visitors, including wildlife viewing, hiking, hunting, fishing, wildlife photography, and more. Many photography enthusiasts are waiting here to shoot the sunrise, watch the sunset, shoot birds, and take pictures.
