Hezuo Temple belongs to the Gelug Sect of Tibetan Buddhism. The temple was founded in the 12th year of Emperor Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty (1673) by the eminent monk Beshere Quedan. Beshe Rechodan, a native of Gannan Ganjia, was a personal disciple of Venerable Gadan Gyatso. He was awarded the title of Geshe Laranpa for studying the law in Tibet. Supported by the local leader of the cooperation, he built a cooperation temple.
