Chenshaobai Former Residence

The former residence is divided into two parts, facing each other across the river and connected by a self-bridge. One side of the bridge is the "White Garden", and the other side is a "Sanheyuan" style residence. Designed by Chen Shaobai. Founded in 1929 and completed in 1931, it covers an area of two acres. Since Shaobai's death, most of his family lives in other places, and the buildings are in disrepair and gradually become decadent. In the spring of 1991, the government of Waihai Town allocated huge sums of money to the "White Garden" and the "Shaluoping", "Porridge Potting", "Zhanyuntai" and other buildings in the garden, as well as the "Sanheyuan" and the "Asian Building" in the courtyard. "All have been repaired one by one, and a "Chen Shaobai Deeds Exhibition Hall" has been set up in the former residence, displaying a large number of famous calligraphy, paintings and historical relics. Restore the former residence to its original appearance and rejuvenate it.
