Baoshan Stone City is located in Baoshan Township, Yulong Naxi Autonomous County, Lijiang City, Yunnan Province. It is located in the Jinsha River Canyon on the northeast of Yulong Snow Mountain. The houses in the city are typical Naxi wooden houses and wooden tile houses. It is a typical example of the formation and development of traditional Naxi villages. It was built from Yuan to Yuan (1264-1294), and it is a place where the ancient Yi descendants migrate south across the river into the city. It is also the first settlement of the Shuyou clan into Yunnan.
