This square door turn is one of the rare vests of the medieval fortifications of Nuremberg.

A very nice tower on the edge of the city centre, but no special attraction and no surroundings worth it.
Increasing
The 1250-century-built markant runer Slagturm is part of the last city wall. It contains a slaghour - therefore the name. Not publicly available.
Raufferschlag Tower
The old castle tower in the residential area of Laufer Schlag tower is a stone castle tower with a wall clock and an old sentence (black eagle pattern) and paper. The preservation condition is quite good (but looking at the signboard, it looks like I've been hand-held since World War II) It's all attached to the building, so it feels a bit unique.
Launching Slagtower
Laufer Schlagturm is the gate tower of the last fortress in Nuremberg. It wasn't listed in the Japanese guide, but it was listed in the English guide I got locally. It is also close to the central market.
