History of Wat Phra That Doi Kham was built in the year B.E. 1230 reign of Queen Chamadevi, King of Haripunchai by the two sons who built it. It consists of a chedi containing the Buddha's relics. Pavilion of the Buddha's cloister and stucco Buddha image Formerly known as Wat Suwan Banphot But the villagers call it "Wat Doi Kham" built since the year B.E. 1230 by Chao Mahantayot and Chao Anantayot, both sons of Phra Nang Chamadevi The first king of Haripunchai Kingdom. Inside the temple is the enshrined of Phra That Doi Kham, the Pray Hall. Including 2 other important Buddha images, Phra Rod Luang, a large gilded sandstone Buddha image and Phra Sam Mo, a clay Buddha image that was excavated by villagers in 1966 and was enshrined at this temple for good fortune.
