Today is a full moon and is all Day of Vesak. One of the oldest wats founded in 1440, many Khmer visit to listen to Busdhisy teachings. Slippers are left outside by some to show their reverence.

Temple Lanka is one of the five historic temples in Phnom Penh, built in 1422. It was built by King Ponhea Yat (1405-1467). An earlier function was a study and conference centre for Khmer and Sri Lankan monks. Rebuilt in 1882 after being badly destroyed during the Khmer Rouge era, it features murals and brightly colored floors that vividly reproduce the image of the Buddha.
