Quanzhou History Museum of Overseas Chinese

The Quanzhou Overseas Chinese History Museum is built to commemorate the immortal achievements of the overseas Chinese ancestors, comprehensively display the history of the overseas Chinese in Quanzhou, and promote the spirit and fine traditions of the overseas Chinese. The museum consists of a main building, a comprehensive building, and two annex buildings in the front area of the museum. The front of the main building is connected by arc-shaped arches to the east and west wings, implying that the museum acts as a bridge connecting Quanzhou and overseas villagers. The Quanzhou Overseas Chinese History Museum mainly displays the history of overseas Chinese immigrants from Quanzhou and their survival and development overseas, reflecting the main characteristics of the overseas Chinese community and their status and role in the development of human civilization. Since the establishment of the museum, the museum has successively launched two basic exhibitions, "Gallery of Overseas History" and "People from Quanzhou in Nanyang". "Going Abroad History Museum" mainly displays the reasons, types, methods, processes and influences of overseas Chinese immigrants from Quanzhou in different historical periods since the Tang Dynasty; "Quanzhou people in Nanyang" shows the history of Quanzhou people's survival and development overseas The social changes and status quo of the Chinese in Quanzhou. The exhibition design is ingenious, and a large number of modern advanced performance methods such as scene restoration, miniature landscape, and phantom imaging are used, which are highly ornamental.
