The trail following the river bed is fairly flat and an easy walk. Along the way we stopped by the ranch and met the PQ goats. They were so friendly and seemed to love getting pets and scratches (definitely a highlight!). We hiked up the waterfall where the trail was a little steeper in the places. The waterfall doesn't have the largest drop but it was still scenic.

Many different paths, hikes, activities throughout the preserve. Great for all levels!
Easily accessible nature reserve in San Diego suburban sprawl. Lots of wildlife and a creek runs though the center. Trees grow around the creek and offer shade. The creek also feeds into the "waterfall," but it's gotten pretty dry with the drought. Still some good rocks to climb on and trails are kept up well.
Beautiful hiking path/bike path (SR 56 Bike Trail) through meadows, along creek, to falls. There's also a historical ranch house.
You can go mountain biking, jogging, or hiking on this trail. There is a recreational park on the side right after the trail. Halfway thru this trail there is a small stream & a small waterfall.
