Qianduo (Raised Wetland Fields) Scenic Area Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Surrounded by water, it blooms at four o'clock, and the rape blossoms from the spring breeze are dotted between the fields, elegant and elegant; they are rooted in the stream, fashionable and fresh; they accompany the ecological millennium, dignified and elegant. If peach blossoms are suitable for fine appreciation, plum blossoms are worthy of the wind, and the rape blossoms will win over the ground. Seeing peaches, enjoying plums, and enjoying chrysanthemums are more poetic paintings that people have given since ancient times. Looking at rapeseed flowers is much simpler. Simply feeling the vitality of spring, the golden eyes under the spring green is a kind of enjoyment.
Sharer.
In the fireworks-laden month of March, there are also beautiful sights outside Yangzhou
During the Qingming festival, fearing that Yangzhou would be too crowded, I went to the relatively less-known Xinghua in Taizhou, where the thousand-acre rapeseed flowers bloom Apart from getting stuck on the highway for a while, once I entered the scenic area, the crowd dispersed and it didn't feel congested at all.
There are many places to see rapeseed flowers in spring, but what's special about Xinghua is the vast golden fields of flowers crisscrossed by rivers. If you buy a boat ticket in addition to the entrance fee, you can also drift through the fields, enjoying the unique taste of the water towns in the Jiangnan region. I was incredibly lucky on the day of the trip, stealing half a day of sunshine from the usually rainy April. After several days of getting used to the elegant grey bricks and white walls of Suzhou's gardens, coming to Xinghua and suddenly seeing a sea of yellow flowers and green waves was incredibly energizing.

Xinghua Qianduo Scenic Area
A few years ago, the weather prevented us from entering the Qianduo Scenic Area, and I am delighted to have made it here today as I wished. As the name suggests, 'Qianduo' refers to the 'duotian' fields surrounded by water on all sides, resembling a maze. The duotian fields are filled with rapeseed flowers, which under the sunlight, are spectacularly golden! The beautiful natural scroll before my eyes is enough to intoxicate me!

Rapeseed flowers can be seen everywhere in the south of the Yangtze River
🗓 Itinerary:
Xinghua - Qintong Ancient Town - On the way to Taizhou.
❤ Recommended reason:
Along the way, you can enjoy the scenery of the water town's rapeseed flowers, feeling that this is the true spring of the south of the Yangtze River. It was the right decision not to buy a ticket to the Xinghua Qianduo Scenic Area that day, because the scenery seen along the road is more natural.

Lizhong Water Forest Park Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Jiangsu Taizhou | The endlessly delightful Li Zhong Water Forest
❤Recommended reason:
Li Zhong Water Forest is a man-made ecological forest, mainly featuring Metasequoia and Pond Cypress trees that reach to the sky.
✅Must experience:
The water forest park is rich in water systems, with rivers crisscrossing. Taking a raft and drifting through it, you can forget yourself and find endless joy.
👍Most recommended:
The water wooden walkway winds through the forest, with pavilions and corridors gracefully curving among the green trees and clear waters. This creates a landscape where 'rivers loop around, and Metasequoia trees stand tall'.
Fish leap in the channels, and birds such as egrets, black drongos, and wild ducks inhabit the area all year round, bringing vitality to the forest.

The enduring 'The Lord of the Rings' has been remastered in 4k, and the forest where the elves live is loved by everyone, full of greenery and vitality. In Taizhou, Jiangsu, there is such an elf forest.
Known for its water forest, rare birds, and vast expanses of dawn redwoods, it covers an area of 2,000 acres and is also Xinghua's first 4A-level tourist attraction. Let's embark on a Middle-earth journey in the name of the elf forest!
【Travel Preparation】
🎈Address: Lizhong Water Forest Park
🚘Transportation: Self-driving is recommended~
🎫Ticket Price: 50 yuan/person, Bamboo Raft Drifting: 40 yuan/person
⏰Opening Hours: 08:00-17:00
✨Activities: Misty Forest, Jiuzhaigou, Cultural Corridor, Wobo Bridge, Listening Wind Cottage, Shigong Pavilion, etc.
❶Misty Forest Fantasy
The Misty Forest show starts every hour on the hour, with six shows a day, the latest at 3 pm. When I went, I just caught the forest performance, with mist rising up.
🌱Under the sunlight, the water mist quickly vaporizes, creating a smoky haze. Through the gaps in the trees, beautiful light and shadow are formed.
❷Jiuzhaigou
If you want to capture birds, look here! After getting off the bamboo raft, you'll reach the 'Jiuzhaigou' water plank road, where the wooden path winds through the green waters, adorned with various buildings.
🌴It's also the best spot for bird watching, with egrets, black cuckoos, wild ducks, and other birds inhabiting it year-round, with up to 100,000 at most and normally around 60,000!
❸Cultural Corridor
Walking through the Cultural Corridor, you'll be fascinated not only by the scenery but also by the cultural construction of the water forest, just like the trees rooted in water, eventually holding up a piece of the sky.
❹Wobo Bridge
Where there's water, there's a bridge, connecting two worlds. Wobo Bridge, with its wooden structure, lies quietly on the water, reflecting the bridge on the surface. When the wind blows, petals scatter on the water, bringing change to both worlds. This is also an excellent spot to observe 'fish in the water'.
❺Listening Wind Cottage
The cottage nestles in the forest, blending with the surroundings as if it never existed. Only when the wind passes, bringing the scent of grass, can one be surprised to find this resting place. Here, you don't just enjoy the water forest with your eyes; with your ears, with your heart, you'll be immersed in the entire forest world.
❻Shigong Pavilion
Where there are trees, there is a forest; where there is distance, there is poetry. Shigong Pavilion is built to commemorate Shi Nai'an and has become a must-visit for tourists on a cultural journey.
🌱If you see someone daydreaming, don't disturb them, as a beautiful article may be born in the next second.
❤️Come to Lizhong Water Forest, and you and your camera will both return fully loaded!

The Qingming festival marks the season when the rapeseed flowers in Xinghua, Taian, are in full bloom
Rapeseed flowers in Pingduo, Xinghua, Taizhou, usually bloom around the Qingming festival each year, and currently about a quarter of them have blossomed, with expectations that they will bloom even more beautifully after Qingming. The Qianduo scenic area is a globally important agricultural cultural heritage, renowned worldwide for its unique 'duotian' landscape. 'Duo' is a type of agricultural landscape unique to the Lixiahe region, which, according to historical records, formed about 750 years ago. In the marshy lands where soil was scarce, the industrious and intelligent people of Xinghua excavated mud from the network of deep ditches or small rivers in the lake and marsh areas, piling it up block by block to form mounds, creating the cultivable 'duotian'.
Due to the higher elevation, good drainage, and fertile soil of the 'duotian', it is particularly suitable for growing fruits, vegetables, and melons. Since the 1950s, the 'duotian' rapeseed has been highly regarded nationwide, earning the reputation of 'leading the way in the country'. Due to the variety and high yield of vegetables, 'duotian' is also known as the 'hometown of vegetables'. Every year during the Qingming festival, the 'duotian' surrounded by water in the Qianduo scenic area is covered with golden rapeseed flowers, attracting numerous tourists for sightseeing. 'Rivers with thousands of bends full of green water, fields without a mound not covered in yellow flowers' is the true portrayal of the rapeseed flowers in Xinghua's 'duotian'.

Taizhou Old Street Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
I thought Sanya was beautiful enough until I visited this place in Jiangsu
I've always been dissatisfied with the coastline along Jiangsu and Zhejiang
But after one trip to Lianyungang, it completely overturned my perception. It's on par with Qingdao, Dalian, and Pingtan's seas, and there's even a village that can compare to Italy's Cinque Terre
:Lianyungang 2-day tour
Per capita 1000r
Island scenery, Yellow Sea sunrise, Republic of China old street Lianyungang Station/Lianyungang East Station: It's recommended to rent a car and drive yourself after arriving in Lianyungang
Lianyungang 2 days and 7 nights route Day1:
Old Street of Lianyungang - Hundred Steps Staircase to Lianyun Railway Station - Liandao (Dashawan--Xiliandao-Tietou Lighthouse-Liandao Sunset Day2:
Yangwo Head Sunrise--Liandao·Suma Bay Sea Yuntai Mountain--Faqi Temple --Return trip
Punch-in strategy for Liandao
Liandao is close to Lianyungang city area, with natural landscapes, fishing boats and villages (Xiliandao) where you can enjoy both sunrise and sunset, perfect for a comfortable island drive.
'Liandao Scenic Area' is a national 5A scenic spot, with excellent facilities and interface. The first time I saw the color of the sea, I was amazed, it's really blue-green. It's suggested to walk from Dashawan along the coastal boardwalk all the way to Peacock Garden, then take a bus to Suma Bay.
Lianyungang Old Street
A local old street area, built at the foot of a mountain, with many upward steps forming a lot of shooting angles, a bit like Chongqing, but with more of Lianyungang's unique mountain and sea flavor.
Sea Yuntai
A place where Li Bai and Su Shi once visited and wrote poems, it was once an island at sea, but now it's a mountain with a view of the sea. From the top, you can see the port, Liandao, and half of Lianyungang city area.
Travel Tips
-Be sure to check the weather by the sea, sunny and rainy days are completely different, all my photos are from sunny days.
Liandao is quite large, it's recommended to rent a car or drive if you're in a group.
·You can enjoy both the sunrise and sunset on Liandao, the sunrise is an unobstructed rise from the sea level, and the sunset is a fall among the dotted boats.

Lung Cleansing Trip—Weekend at Qinhu Wetland
The journey to Taizhou was hurried, and we got up early the next day to go to Qinhu National Wetland Park🔛 to start a lung cleansing journey.
The distance from the city to Qinhu Wetland is not close, 🚌bus🚖 taxi can get there, we like to experience more local life, so we chose to experience the bus in Taizhou.
After swaying for more than an hour, we finally arrived at Qinhu Wetland. The park is quite large, and there is a small Haichang Ocean Park inside, which looks like it has been there for some years. We took a boat from the dock to the depths of the wetland to begin our lung cleansing journey.
Inside Qinhu Wetland Park, there is also a science museum that introduces wetland ecology, agricultural culture, and so on. It is also a good choice to bring children. In addition, we found an ancient Shousheng Temple inside. It takes about ten minutes to walk along the suspension bridge trail over the lake to get there.
The temple is quiet with few visitors, and you can enter to visit by paying for incense money. What attracted us here is the four-sided Buddha by the lake, walking towards the direction of the Buddha led us here.
Inside the hall, there are practitioners who guide the worship of Buddha, but please note ⚠️ after the worship, they will ask you to leave your name on the merit book, which means additional incense money. If you don't want to leave your name, you can refuse❌

Thousands of poles and myriad paddles stir the waters of Qinhu Lake, as hundreds of boats race with the spring tide
On April 6th, 2024, the Qingtong Conference Boat Festival opened at the Qinhu National Wetland Park in Jiangyan District, Taizhou City, Jiangsu Province. Hundreds of various boats and tens of thousands of participants gathered at Qinhu Lake, maneuvering their poles and paddles vigorously, competing to be the first, presenting a spectacular scene of 'Thousands of poles and myriad paddles stir the waters of Qinhu Lake, as hundreds of boats race with the spring tide.' The event is a portrayal of a folk custom that remains vibrant through the ages. The Qingtong Conference Boat has been passed down since the Southern Song Dynasty, enduring for hundreds of years, and has been listed in the national intangible cultural heritage inventory.
