JR There was Yasaka Shrine in the city north of Yamaguchi Station. The precincts were large, surrounded by trees 々, and there were few visitors, so it was a very quiet and relaxing shrine. It is said that this shrine was solicited by Hiroyo Ouchi, the lord of time, from Gion Shrine in Kyoto in the 14 century. Therefore, it is called "Yasaka Shrine".
I parked my car in the parking lot of Ryufukuji Temple in the central city of Yamaguchi City and walked around Ryufukuji Temple and its surroundings. This Yasaka Shrine is a shrine built on the north side of Ryufukuji Temple. It is a shrine built in 1369 by Hiroyo Ouchi from Yasaka Shrine in Kyoto. When I went through the large vermilion torii gate, I found the main shrine with an atmosphere. This main shrine was rebuilt by Yoshioki Ouchi in 1520 and is designated as a national important cultural property.
