Built in the late Song Dynasty and early Yuan Dynasty and flourishing in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Banliang Ancient Village has a history of over 100 years. All the villagers have the same last name and ancestry, namely, Liu's descendants of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty. It is a typical clan settlement in South Hunan. There is a seven-story ancient pagoda, an ancient stone slab bridge leading to the village, temples and pavilions, old private schools, ancient shopping streets and ancient money shops. Walking through the village, you can see the imprint of a past era everywhere.
