The location is excellent, and the room is very spacious with two bathrooms, which is very convenient. The surrounding amenities are also great. It's been 9 years since my last visit, and the overall facilities are still very well-maintained. The breakfast at the executive lounge doesn't offer as much variety as the one on the first floor, but the view upstairs is indeed fantastic. The service was also very thoughtful; they helped me get an extra blanket. It's been quite cold in Beijing these past few days, and the room temperature was a bit low. Rita, who handled my check-in, was very nice. I would definitely come back again.

Our room was spotlessly clean. We booked an executive lounge room in advance, which was cheaper than booking on a weekend. It came with afternoon tea and an evening buffet, which was really convenient and good value. In the evenings, there were even drinks available. Great location, right across from the Capital Theater, and only a 3-4 minute walk from Exit D of China Art Museum Station on Line 8. You can easily walk to East Chang'an Avenue from here. The staff are all very enthusiastic, as expected from a well-known international hotel. Breakfast is quite ample, and you can enjoy it on the 17th floor – while the selection might be a bit limited, the views are fantastic. If you're booking a Forbidden City view room, try to get as high a floor as possible; the view from the 11th floor is a bit obstructed.

Wouldn’t call it a 5 star hotel. Been treated far much better at many other 3 and 4 star hotels(kids given their own slippers, dental kits, bathrobes, daily snacks, free minibar, free laundry washed, dried and folded and delivered to our hotel room etc) Here at this hotel, they’re just stingy- no shower caps provided, they charge extra for the minibar(which we didn’t use anyway) room was quite a run down, stained carpets, burn mark in the chair, they charge 33 rmb per person for laundry. Overall wouldn’t recommend if you want a 5 star experience, I would have happily accepted the treatment if they were a 3 or 4 star hotel. And the funny part they kept $2000 Rmb(refunded on checkout) deposit for 5 nights. Honestly, “How much additional damage could we realistically have caused to a room that was already in poor condition?”

The room was terrible! I don't know why the front desk gave us the worst room. We booked a deluxe king room, paid a five-star price, but it felt like a basement. The room was small, the ceiling was low, and the view from the window felt semi-subterranean. Seriously frustrating.
