White Swan Hotel

I booked an Executive Room, and it was unexpectedly perfect! Service: I was escorted from the front desk on the first floor to the Executive Lounge on the third floor for check-in. It was quiet and efficient; I just sat comfortably and waited. The staff on this floor were noticeably a cut above – all tall, beautiful, and with lovely voices. They could all provide service in three languages, and their Cantonese was perfectly modulated, soft and soothing, truly melting your heart. While I was in a blissful daze, the staff even arranged a room upgrade and late check-out for me – super happy! 🥳 On the night of check-in, they gave us a welcome gift and a handwritten card as a small anniversary present. 🥰🥰🥰 Perhaps due to the late check-out service, the room card's magnetic strip had a slight issue, but it was resolved quickly and smoothly – excellent job! Every staff member I encountered, at all levels, had genuinely radiant smiles, not forced at all. The entire team is well-trained, and the salaries and benefits must be good around here – truly living up to the 'White Swan' name. ☺️ Dual Executive Lounge Privileges: By the time we checked in, it was past afternoon tea, so we enjoyed the evening cocktail hour. There was a variety of basic mixes, and they could even make non-alcoholic versions for ladies and children. Besides small snacks, there were various Western appetizers, nuts, cookies, and cheese to pair with red wine. Vegetable salads and fruits were also available, along with Chinese dishes like chicken wings and braised ox tongue – you could easily have a full meal! 🤣 Unfortunately, we only had a little bite before heading to the pool. Cleanliness: All mirrors and metal surfaces in the room were sparkling clean, the bathtub was spotless, and the bedding was soft and comfortable. Facilities: The heated infinity pool has an accompanying hot tub and changing rooms with showers. The large towels were clean and soft. Right next to it is the spa, separated for men and women, with both dry and wet saunas. There are attendants to guide and introduce you, so you won't feel lost. What's particularly worth mentioning is the landscaping. The gardeners have meticulously trimmed and maintained all the flowers and trees. The plants are thriving and blooming, with no obvious signs of being haphazardly planted and replaced when they die. Especially those very old staghorn ferns – their blossoms smell wonderful, giving a full tropical vibe. The Koi pond's water quality is excellent, and the fish are healthy and lively! The White Swan finally showed me the true meaning of 'feeling at home.' When checking out, the staff member bid me farewell with 'see you next time,' and I genuinely look forward to it.

This classic hotel brand truly stands out. The service is excellent in every aspect, especially when it comes to the details. They even have smoking rooms, which is a real bonus for smokers!

The room itself was alright, just a bit on the older side. Everything else was fantastic though. The customer service, concierge, and front desk staff were all incredibly helpful and friendly. They assisted me with receiving numerous packages, which I greatly appreciate.

The room was spacious, and the bathroom was also large, with a great view. The air conditioning was quiet, which made for a very satisfying stay. The surrounding transportation was also very convenient, with a direct exit from the back door on the first floor to Shamian Scenic Area.

Very satisfied. My last stay here was ten years ago. The location is superb; it's lovely to take a walk along the river and on Shamian Island. The breakfast quality is good, and it comes with a river view. A special shout-out to the service attitude, which was warm and friendly, unlike the often 'cold' service you find at international luxury brand chains. Among the older, well-established hotels like the Garden Hotel and China Hotel, White Swan Hotel is still the best.

I'd always heard about the excellent service at the White Swan, so I specifically booked this hotel for my trip to Guangzhou. The hotel entrance is indeed very unique, with its charming bridges and flowing water – it made a great first impression. The room was spacious with a wide-open view, and it was kept very clean. The housekeeping auntie was also very warm and attentive. On the day of check-out, I picked up three pieces of luggage from the storage area. The staff member who brought them out just stood there, waiting for us to free our hands to take the bags and head out. To my surprise, no one came forward to help us with the luggage or assist us into the car. The proactiveness of the service was a bit lacking there. Also, I'd suggest improving the trash cans in the bathroom. When placed against the wall, they make a rather loud banging sound every time you step on the pedal. Moving it forward makes the space a bit cramped, and closing the lid is also quite noisy.

Everything was fantastic, aside from the limited hotel facilities and the slightly small swimming pool. The service was excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and responsible. Highly recommend!

The room is spacious and comes with a comfortable sofa – perfect for lounging! The river view is stunning! The hotel's outdoor pool is quite secluded. However, I had to wait an hour to check in even though I arrived after 2 PM, which was a bit long. On the bright side, they offered complimentary drinks at the lobby bar, which helped pass the time while I waited!

As a prominent representative of China's hotel industry, the White Swan Hotel in Guangzhou boasts uniquely decorated interiors, featuring traditional Chinese elements like small bridges and flowing water. It's conveniently located right on the Pearl River, directly across from Shamian Island with its distinctive European-style architecture. The area offers excellent transport links and a full range of amenities. Upon check-in, our room was proactively upgraded. Although we encountered a minor issue with the room due to ongoing renovations, it was promptly resolved, and we were even given complimentary breakfast, which was a fantastic gesture.
