Sun Viet Hotel has great potential thanks to its excellent location and very large property. The hotel itself is quite old and would benefit from renovation, but there are also some real positives worth mentioning.
The staff were very kind and helpful. I asked for a nice room, and they gave me a very spacious sea-view room, suitable for three people, which was much bigger than rooms in many other hotels in the area. That was a big plus and very much appreciated.
However, cleanliness is the main issue. The rooms really need better daily cleaning — especially vacuuming and mopping the floors. The bedsheets and towels should be replaced, as many of them have visible stains. If the hotel focused on proper cleaning and disinfection, guests would pay much less attention to the hotel being old, because the location itself is very nice.
Another downside is that the hotel doesn’t have a sandy beach. The area in front of the hotel also has some trash, so I strongly recommend cleaning this space regularly. Adding sunbeds there would make it much more enjoyable for guests.
Overall, Sun Viet Hotel has a lot of space, a good location, and friendly staff, but it really needs better cleanliness, new linens, and some maintenance to reach its full potential.
