Hotels near Grand World Phu Quoc in Phu Quoc Island

The hotel is located in the downtown area right next to the beach, so the location is excellent. The check-in starts at 3 PM, just like another hotel; however, there is no warm service, and the room booked from trip.com has been arranged on the lower floor. The results were noisy on the lower floor because we reserved an ocean view, and the hotel swimming pool is just below the balcony. So we asked to change the room to a higher floor after several negotiations with the receptionist and added additional costs. There are no highlights about the hotel facility and average five-star rating. We swim more by the swimming pool than at the beach because the seawater quality is not that good. For the morning breakfast, there are many options, but nothing outstanding. Overall, it's a good hotel.

We stayed at the Wyndham Grand Phu Quoc for two nights. And I must say, it was the best decision we made for staying there. Truly a luxurious five star property with all the amenities one could possibly ask for. Located on the extreme Northwest of the island of Phu Quoc, this resort gives you access to one of the most pristine and beautiful private beaches. We stayed in an Standard King Size bedroom with sea view. The room was incredibly amazing with super awesome sea view. The photos attached with this review can only make 50% of what one can see with his own eyes. A special mention for the excellent sauna bath which I enjoyed the most. The hotel is very well managed and the staff was extremely courteous and professional. However, a couple of things which I think that as a five star property the hotel needs to work upon: (a) They must provide adequate drink g water bottles in the rooms. They just gave two 500ml bottles per day which is very less for two persons. Drinking water is something that shouldn't be quantified. The tap water was jot drinkable hence it became obligatory to purchase water from outside. This I don't think happens anywhere else in such type of property elseqhe. (b) In their magnanimous breakfast spread, there were extremely less vegetarian options. One had simply to rely on steamed rice and some boiled potatoes apart from the bakery items. This as a five star hotel the management must rework and add more vegetarian options. In the end, I would always love to come back and stay here. I would also recommend this property to all kinds of travellers for coming down to experience luxury in a different way.

Pros: - good location, walking distance to Grand World - low price, best if you don’t spend much time at the hotel and mostly out and about - clean and modern decor Cons: - no aircon in corridor and elevator, it can be very uncomfortable to step in the elevator on hot days - no room service, no service at pool area, no option to pay for food and beverage at check out. - minibar is empty, instant coffee and tea bags are available yet no milk. When we requested milk for our cup of tea, the reception staff advised we would need to go to the bar (ground floor) to purchase milk at own cost. Milk is essential and it has always been provided free of charge wherever we’ve been (Bali, Singapore, Australia, etc.) - mid-stay ROOM INSPECTION. This is very UNPLEASANT practice to Westerners and should be stopped. Not sure if this is normal in Vietnam, but it is very displeasing and annoying to us (Australians). We often stayed a few weeks to months in Bali and other Asian countries, we’ve never had room inspection where 2 staff entered our room, 1 of them walked around the room pretending to check the skirting board with a screwdriver while the other was casing the room (it was obvious that they wanted to check to room). - poor English proficiency. Only one reception staff can speak English well, the rest of the staff don’t. My husband was quite frustrated during our stay because he couldn’t communicate with staff. We’ve stayed in Bali and other Asian countries, all of their staff are fluent in English including security and housekeeping staff. - lack of attention to food safety. Signage is very small. No cover when the meals bought outside to the pool area. Food was not kept at optimum temperature can cause bacteria to grow to dangerous levels that can cause illness. - lack of knowledge about beverage. Staff didn’t understand my husband’s order of Bourbon + Cola (very common drinks to Westerners) and advised they don’t have Bourbon. When my husband went to the bar with the staff, there was a big Bourbon bottle sitting on the shelf! - lack of customer service. Staff was not attentive to customers, my husband had to walked to the restaurant to get staff attention when we wanted food and drinks while we were at the pool. Staff should walk around and simply check in with customers. Staff didn’t greet customers when they walk past, again when we were in Bali and other Asian countries, their staff (everyone including housekeeping staff) always said good morning, good afternoon or good evening. - FACIAL BIOMETRICS RECOGNITION was an entry requirement to enter buffet breakfast. This should be disclosed in booking description including third-party websites like Agoda, Booking.com, etc. No information on Facial Biometrics Recognition are found anywhere or has ever been communicated to us prior to checking in. I booked honeymoon room setup with a reasonable price and they totally surprised us when check-in. The setup was so lovely and we love it. The hotel looks a little bit old but so beautiful and well kept. Our Villa was nice, big, quiet and the bed was very comfortable. All of these things made my trip fantastic. I love to stay at the pool all the day for relaxing and enjoying the nice sunset here. The staff were also wonderful, friendly and useful. Highly recommend this hotel and i surely will come back soon.

We spent a very nice few days in this hotel. The all staff is very polite and friendly specially Ho minh an , on the recepcion. He was always very kind and helpful. The room is very beautiful and always clean. The breakfast was very nice and the food is always fresh. The all staff do the best all the time to keep the area clean and organized. Thank you!

Great service and fantastic swimming pool. Breakfast is very wonderful For transportation, there is a VINbus bus stop stop so located right in front of the hotel.

After being stuck at home for the past 3 years and watching replays of Getaway, we finally got out of Australia and arrived in Phu Quoc. Stepping out of the taxi we were warmly greeted by the concierge staff with the traditional 'Xin Chao' as they escorted us into the beautiful Movenpick Resort foyer. Immediately my wife and I felt relaxed. This was what we had missed during COVID, escaping our busy lives and enjoying such beautiful resorts. Check-in was seamless and we were in our room in no time. I had an issue with our room and spoke to Linh at reception who was so nice and professional, and quickly resolved the situation. And in a flash we were by gorgeous pool and enjoying tropical cocktails. We spent the next 3 days laying around the pool, in the sun loungers looking out into the ocean, taking naps in the hammocks between the palm trees and enjoying the ocean breeze as we watched the sunsets. The Spa was amazing and one of the best we've experienced. The pre-spa sauna, stream room and spa baths was sooo relaxing. Breakfast was a feast to the eyes with delicious authentic Vietnamese food and a great international selection. The afternoons were spent devouring all sorts of enticing desserts during Chocolate Hour (and all for free, what a bonus!) We loved spending our evenings at Aura Beach Club as Vu was so helpful and attentive. He even got the whole team to sing Happy Birthday to me which was such a pleasant surprise. When we returned to our room, Linh and the reception team had organised a birthday cake and some gifts from the Resort. So sweet! It's things like this that make our holidays even more memorable. We thoroughly enjoyed Movenpick Resort Phu Quoc and the wonderful staff that made it so special. We will be back! and will bring all our families and friends :)

This was the most amazing holiday I have ever had. I stayed for 10 days and enjoyed every day in spite of visiting during the rainy season. From the moment of arrival Tram, the customer service manager, and his team ensured a warm welcome and a swift check in process in a relaxing environment with a welcome drink. All staff from the porters - we were welcomed by Bo who ensured to show us all aspects of our room and personally escorted us to the bar where we could get delicious food and cocktails - were professional and provided excellent customer service. The location is breath-taking - right on the beach with an infinity pool if you don't want to dip into the ocean. SUP and canoes are available for hire or you can just relax in the midst of the immaculate cultivated gardens or on the beach. Food and drink are available 24/7 with room service alongside a pool bar, separate bar with pool table and a dining restaurant with superb ocean views. Scooters and bicycles are also available for rent to explore the area but you can also walk easily to the main road and to a couple of local shops. The cocktails, fresh fruit juices and smoothies were superb with an amazing breakfast buffet which surpassed all expectations served in the tree top restaurant with a breathtaking view over the ocean and infinity pool. Pastries, freshly cooked Vietnamese omelettes, alongside noodles, cereal, toast, amazingly fresh fruit and Vietnamese coffee are all available in abundance. During the day there is a great selection at the pool bar or in the bar as well as the Ocean Restaurant in the evening for cocktail hour and an evening meal that has an open kitchen and is sited on a jetty with spectacular open ocean views. Everything was freshly cooked with a well thought out curated menu great options, including Pho, fresh steak, fresh fish, pizzas and pasta. The restaurant staff was extremely attentive and friendly - we were served by Khahn who was especially friendly and welcoming. Accommodation was jungle luxe with fabulous design, great attention to detail, excellent service and 100% tranquility surrounded by the jungle with all mod cons with direct access to a private beach. Highly recommended to relax and detox from the modern world. No need to leave the resort for the duration of your trip.

Excellent service, convenient location, and extremely helpful staff. I'm in utter love with this place. The décor of the brand-new room was sophisticated and elegant. The hotel employees provided excellent service, which made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. Leila, in particular, was kind and thoughtful in setting everything up for us, and she always comes with a big, genuine smile, which makes us even happier. She went above and above to make my stay as enjoyable as possible by planning my routes to visit various locations on my own, explaining in detail how to get there, and reserving my ticket to the airport. We want to express our gratitude for making our experience spectacular and incredibly memorable. Overall experience can be expressed in 3 syllables Fa Bu Lous, can’t wait to go back.

What an amazing oasis this resort is. From the check in to check out this resort and the staff service are faultless. I’ve never stayed somewhere with such friendly and helpful staff. The buffet breakfast was fabulous and the room and amenities are great. It’s a little out of the way for ears other than the resort which was a bit challenging with some fussy kids but we made a few trips into Duong Dong for a change of food scene. The pools are unbelievable although warm (as is the ocean) if you don’t like that then may not be for you. Only issue was the pool only being available until 7pm. Having such a beautiful setting, we wanted to swim a little in the evenings after dinner but that’s their rules. I cannot recommend this resort highly enough. Ps the kayaking (free) was an added bonus.
