At arrival we were met by not only a warm welcome from a friendly face but a lovely food taster, water, offer of drink and a long discussion to advise us about not only Chania but also all the rest of our stay in Crete! A wealth of fantastic ideas about where to eat, what to see and do, which we used a lot during our stay. The house is beautifully restored, our room was on the second floor and out (heavy) bags were brought in the room for us (no lift). The bed was comfy, there were tea/coffee making facilities in the room as well as the option of cooking for one selves (we did not use it) and a small fridge, a comfortable sitting area and of course the lovely view from the rooftop. The breakfasts were like none we experienced in the past, a feast, almost a aster menu. 3 course breakfast brought for you by the chef, only from local produces, all origin explained, a feast for the taste, tea and coffee generously given. We staid 2 nights only but would have happily staid longer. We met a couple who had staid there several times and admitted they were coming back for the breakfast. If we ever come again to Chania, I must admit we probably would do the same. Thank you Hanim for an excellent stay.
