B28 Apartments Porto

B28 is a beautifully restored building that has been thoughtfully appointed for a comfortable stay. Fantastic location for walking in the heart of Porto and wonderful hosts. The room/apartment was so comfortable that my husband and I could see ourselves coming back and staying for an extended period. I recommend paying for the daily breakfast of fresh, simple options that you can easily prepare/assemble in your apartment kitchen.

Lovely apartments, but definitely not for everyone. I was surprised that I didn't see in the reviews that there is a massive construction project directly across the street with huge cranes and jackhammers. It is unsightly and noisy, and looks like it won't be finished for a couple of years. Also, if you look at their website you will likely be aware there is no elevator. We booked an apartment on the second floor for that reason but due to the high ceilings and the street level being labeled floor 0, we had to walk up four flights. The biggest surprise was no air conditioning, I just didn't even think to check for this and assumed it would be cool in the fall. We were in a heat wave, and it was very hot and stuffy. The only way to breathe was to keep the balcony doors open all night, but this meant a lot of noise from the street. Also sound really carries in the building. I had to wear earplugs to sleep. Unfortunately between the lack of air conditioning and the construction, the apartment was just not pleasant at all during the day. I'm trying to imagine who this would be a good fit for. If it wasn't for the construction I would say young, athletic people who don't mind all the stairs and they can have a beautiful apartment for the price of a regular hotel room. However, with the construction, even the beauty of the building and the apartments, as well as the great location combined with the kind service and organic groceries for breakfast really isn't a good choice for most folks.

We enjoyed the stay at the the Apartment no. 5 under the roof very much and would highly recommend it for people who like to enjoy the atmosphere of the ancient part of Porto. Highlight of the Apartment is by far the fantastic view all over the City. Cátia who received us was very helpful and friendly.

Beautiful apartment in a beautiful restored building. We stayed in Apartment 1A on the first floor. We arrived early in the day and left our baggage with Catia in the store. She texted us when the apartment was ready. It was spotless clean and looked brand new. We really liked the breakfast which was delivered at the door every morning. The location is perfect with lots of restaurants and the river close by. We received lots of tips of things to see and do and restaurants in the area. Thank you Catia for your kind assistance. We will come back for sure!

The service was just impeccable and heartwarming! Massive thanks to the hostess Alida who helped us to carry our heavy luggage to the top floor, and Catia who filled up our lovely daily bread and yoghurt and was so caring about my younger fallen ill! The view of our top floor studio overseeing the charming old town was just stunning! The studio was well air-conditioned, soothing the heat in the summer. The kitchenette was adequtely equipped. Everything was so clean and tidy. And there's a beach pack with towels provided! If one is not too concerned about carrying heavy luggage to the top (5th) floor (as there's no escalator in this historical building) and doesn't mind being waken up by the birds (seagulls?) over the roof in the early morning, I believe there're very few better choices in the area at this price! Certainly we're more than happy to come back in the future.

The apartment was fabulous, nicely decorated and in the best possible location, close to everything in a beautiful restored building. Catia was very kind and helpful. She did her best to make our stay great.

The place is well located near most attractions that Porto city has to offer. Close to transportation and many restaurants around. The apartment we stayed in is very comfortable relaxing and romantic. The owner and staff are more than just friendly and welcoming they are warm and resourceful. In fact when I ever come again to Porto I would stay there again. I enjoyed every minute we stayed there.

We stayed here for just a few days but loved it. The Breakfast was very nice to start off each day. Then we used to walk everywhere and could check out the city very good! The apartments are big and have anything you need. A nice kitchen to use and beautiful furniture. We would love to come back some time!

This was an absolutely excellent stay! We weren’t sure what to expect with an “apartment hotel,” but were thrilled and our expectations were exceeded by far. Our flight arrived several hours before typical check-in time. They were great communicating with us, and there to check us in and kindly get us oriented in the morning. The interior is very clean and smells like essential oils throughout, very pleasant. Our room -studio 4B- was perfect for the two of us. Kitchen is well appointed, allowing us to cook a few meals in during our week in Porto. Shower was great. Bed was comfortable. Decor tasteful and space was clean. Very impressed. This apartment is up several flights of stairs, so wouldn’t be accessible to all, but if you’re healthy enough to walk the MANY hills of Porto, you can do it. The apartment overlooks a busy historic stairway on route to a popular city overlook, so lots of foot traffic below and some noise, but was fine and we still chose to keep the windows open. Location is perfect!! Short walk to waterfront and many must-see, must-walk areas, great restaurants. Catia was so darling and accommodating, communicating regularly about what we might need for breakfast, and the breakfast offerings were just superb! All local and organic, really delicious and well thought out. They are very conscious about not wasting, which we appreciated as well. Overall, we were blown away, and will definitely be back!!
