Holy Church of the Holy Apostles of Solakis (10th c.)

The Church of the Saint Apostles is located on the east side of the ancient market in Athens, the area of ancient Agra dating back to the 10th century AD, the Church of the Saint Apostles is the only historical building in the Agra region that has not been significantly damaged except the Temple of Hephaestus, which has remained until the present time in the mid Byzantine period. The Church of the Saint Apostles is the first famous church in Athens, marking the beginning of the so-called "Athenian" church building.

The church was built 200 years after its completion, until the Fourth Crusade (1201), and it was also a short period of prosperity in Athens, which took on the functions of Christian prayer, sermons, burial of believers (the Byzantine sarcophagus was later found around the church), and later, The Athenians were destroyed in the war against the Ottoman Empire and the Venetians (1687), and the Athenians were rebuilt from 1876 to 1882, changing the church's original appearance to some extent, until 1954 to 1957, and being remodeled to the same extent as it was in the early 10th century.

The interior of the Apostolic Church is very small, but a typical Byzantine church model has a variety of beauty that can be perceived by subtle prescriptions. I like this place which brings cool and quiet to people in the hot wild.
