Heyeting

The original name of the Lotus Leaf Pavilion is "Hushuang Pavilion", also known as "Yancheng Lotus Leaf Pavilion". Because the top of the pavilion is in the shape of an inverted lotus leaf, people are used to calling it "Lotus Leaf Pavilion". Its origin is: in the late 1930s, there was a rich gentry Mei Shibin in Funing County, Jiangsu, whose son died. In order to continue the incense, he took two concubines of Zhang and Cao. After Mei died, Zhang and Cao took poison and committed suicide. Mei's nephew Pinshan took ten years to build the lotus leaf pavilion, but it was destroyed during the Cultural Revolution. Relevant departments of Funing County Government rebuilt the Lotus Leaf Pavilion in 2010 from the perspective of pavilion culture and tourism culture, in line with the emphasis on history, culture and art.
