Baoyun Temple

Baoyun Temple is a national AA-level tourist attraction, and is the only ancient building complex integrating culture, religion, folk customs and tourism in Hengshui City. The temple was built in the Tang Dynasty and has a history of more than 1220 years. In its heyday, more than 30 mu of temple area, 100 temples, fragrant spokes, is one of the Buddhist temples known as Yan Zhao Earth.

Baoyun Temple has a tower, high 36.5 meters, the tower is an eight-sided cone brick and wooden structure, from four floors and four sides have doors, the towers of each floor have different architectural styles, or Chengyu Dou Arch, or Chengmei Huadou Arch, majestic and simple, majestic. If you climb the tower, you need to have a certain courage, because each floor has to go around the tower half a circle, find the other side of the entrance. Baoyun Tower is originally called Qingtian Tower, located in the east of the old city village southwest of Hengshui City. The tower is originally in Baoyun Temple, so it is called Baoyun Tower. In the 13th year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty (1415), due to the flood inundation of the county, the county town was moved from the old city village to the present site, and Baoyun Temple was also moved with the city. However, although the temple was moved, the tower was not moved and it has been standing on the original site. The tower is towering under the green trees and is spectacular.

Baoying Temple has been repaired well in the past two years, and various facilities are relatively complete. There are more people coming here to travel incense, especially during holidays. It is not easy to find parking spaces if you catch up with the peak traffic.
