Exhibition of achievements of both women dedicated to leprosy patients
Original Text
There is a special nursing home called lidellight home at the entrance of tachidayama natural park, and the white two story building is the lidel light Memorial Hall. A memorial service has been exhibited from Britain to Hansen's disease patients, and a monument is also set up in the garden.
The interior seems to have been damaged by the earthquake, and the museum is still closed. However, the building has a historical atmosphere, and there is a monument to honor both the history of Liddell Wright and the monument to the Empress Dowager's song nearby, which is spectacular.
I went there for the first time after the Kumamoto earthquake. The building is not broken, but it was closed as if there were internal damage. The old building is preserved, so it's worth just looking at the exterior of the building. There is also a monument to honor both the history of Liddell Wright and a monument to Empress Dowager Sadaaki nearby, so it was worth a visit.
It is located in the back of the nursing home site and is difficult to understand. The two-story building makes a noise when you walk, and there are not many exhibits. However, the letter written by Shigenobu Okuma is impressive. The content was "We will work as a government to prevent rai", and was it epoch-making at that time? I think it was a way of thinking. There are other books by Eiichi Shibusawa and Keigo Kiyoura. Is it the result that Liddell worked hard? It is the beginning of the British Liddell's prevention efforts ...
It is a memorial hall with no admission fee. Hanna Liddell, her niece Wright, and her friends, who spent their lives in Kumamoto, a foreign land to rescue people with leprosy. Valuable materials such as the personal items 々 at that time and the autograph book presented by Helen Keller were exhibited. I was excited by the passion of the two people who could see from those materials.
