Before coming to Myanmar to work, I heard that Mandalay’s Grand Palace had never had a chance. I took a bus from Yangon to Mandalay with a few colleagues in the last two days of 2018. We booked a VIP bus ticket in Yangon, 22,000 kyats, and we have not taken a long-distance bus in Myanmar before, and we also want to experience it through this opportunity. Overall, the station is very tattered, but the car is still very clean. The VIP car is a row of only 3 seats. The seat is a bit like a business seat on the plane. It also provides a bottle of water, a box of snacks, a cake and bread, and a toothbrush and toothpaste wipes for washing. It surprised me that I could have such a service by car. The disadvantage is that the air conditioning temperature in the car is too low. The car departs at 10 o'clock in the evening. Although there is a small blanket, it is still a bit cold. The driver who dated before arriving at Mandalay came to pick us up at the station and went straight to the Grand Palace. The ticket is 10,000 kyats per person, about 45 yuan, foreigners have to press one person's passport and leave the name of the hotel. Most of the Grand Palace is wooden structure. The unique teak wood in Myanmar is also spectacular, but the scale is not large, and some places are not well maintained. But you can feel the glory of the ancient imperial dynasty in Myanmar. It is still worth a visit.
