Modern church

It is a modern church, standing near 26 martyrs monument. The outer looking is like a Gaudi’s construction, but the interior is a serene space for praying. The door is open and everybody is welcomed.

The church has a unique architecture designed by the architect Kenji Imai influenced by the Spanish architect Gaudi.

　Nishisaka Park where the monument of the 26 saints of Japan stands. Adjacent to the park was St. Philippe Nishizaka Church with two striking towers. The name of this church comes from Felipe de Hess, one of the 26 saints. It was built by Mr. Kanetsugu Imai based on donations from Felipe's homeland Mexico. I was recommended by the reception at the 26th Saints Memorial Hall. There is a guide at the entrance, and I got a pamphlet and went inside. You can shoot freely. I really like that cool space unique to the church. I raise my face by the light from the stained glass. I'm happy for such a short time, just sitting in a chair leisurely without thinking about anything. I want to come here again and relax.
