Lugu Lake (泸沽湖） it was a far way to arrive there from Lijiang ancient town. I only remembered I was sleeping all way through, but every time I woke up, we hadn’t arrived🥲 climbed 5 mountains, took 4 hours, we finally arrived Lugu Lake! Pic 1️⃣ on the way to Lugu Lake, we can see Jinsha River(金沙江). Love this turquoise green! Pic 2️⃣-3️⃣ Lugu Lake viewing platform. There was super crowded, I went on the workdays, couldn’t imagine if it is in weekends or holiday... but the most disappointing thing is, there’s a row of trees blocking the view! Very difficult to shoot nice pictures there. So if you are driving on this trip, wouldn’t recommend you to go there to see the view. You can definitely stop by somewhere to get the better views. Pic 4️⃣-5️⃣ Boat tour in Lugu Lake. it took around 1 hour to finish the trip. We chose the relatively quiet Nizhai Village, where stepping out the door puts you right at Lugu Lake, and the indoor facilities are surprisingly good! 🏝 Taking a pig trough boat: 150 yuan per person June, July, and August offer the best value for money, as you can see the water lilies in bloom. It's best to go early in the morning because they bloom early and wilt late. We rented a boat at six in the morning to see the sunrise and the morning mist. My friend captured the scene of seagulls soaring over the azure lake, with the morning light reflecting off the water, it was stunning. 🏝 About altitude sickness Lugu Lake covers an area of fifty square kilometers, with the deepest part reaching over a hundred meters and a visibility of twelve meters. The highest altitude is over three thousand meters. The Fuyun Homestay we stayed at even had an oxygen machine, but I didn't use it. My friend and I both took Gaoyuan An, a local Tibetan brand, and there's no need to take it in advance. Neither of us felt any discomfort, whether in the snow mountains or at Lugu Lake.
