Boxian Park

In the 1858 Treaty of Tianjin, Zhenjiang was set up as a commercial port on the Yangtze River. This place was the British Concession of the year, where foreigners built embassies, set up companies, and operated for more than 60 years. Western civilization brought cultural impact to Zhenjiang, but also laid a unique cultural imprint for it to blend in with China and the West. Boxian Road concentrated many of Zhenjiang's old buildings, still in Western style, people see the city once fashionable. Unfortunately, in addition to these old small western-style buildings, there are no decent buildings on the streets of Zhenjiang, which always gives people the feeling of gray. At the end of Qing Dynasty, Zhenjiang was one of the earliest cities in China to accept modern Western civilization; when the Republic of China, Zhenjiang was once the capital of Jiangsu. Under such superior conditions, Zhenjiang has not developed faster and better, and now it is in the Yangtze River Delta many cities, people can not help but regret the city. Boxian Park at the end of Boxian Road was built to commemorate Zhao Boxian, the main leader of the League Association. I have never heard of this person before, and I later learned that he participated in the Huanghuagang Uprising and died of grief after the defeat of the Uprising. The name of Boxian Park is written by Soong Qingling, and Le Shi is on the right side of the gate of AD. In the garden, there is also a bronze statue of Zhao Boxian, who is wearing the officers' uniform of the New Army in the late Qing Dynasty, and holding a telescope, which is quite handsome.

Boxian Park is the only memorial park in the city built to commemorate the democratic revolutionary martyr Zhao Sheng. The park is located in the south of Yuntai Mountain in Zhenjiang City, covering an area of 120 mu, and was prepared by the League Association Cold Yuqiu initiative and designed by famous garden expert Professor Chen Zhi. Construction began in 1926 and opened in June 1931. There are 28 ancient trees and famous trees of various kinds, with flourishing trees, fresh air and elegant environment. The ancient buildings of the "Five Five" lecture hall in the park are provincial cultural relics protection units. In 1979, the honorary president of the country, Soong Qingling, wrote the name of the park for Boxian Park, and now Leshi is on the right side of the park gate. In October 1980, Tian Yu, the former secretary of Sun Yat-sen, wrote "Zhao Boxian's resume", which is now embedded on the left side of the park gate.

Boxian Park is a very old park, there is one of the largest rockery groups in Jiangnan, Taihu Rock rockery, is the characteristics of Jiangnan garden, and the essence, like a variety of animals.

The first stop in Zhenjiang came to see the park in the old town to commemorate the Xinhai Gongchen Zhao Boxian. The park area is not large and it still maintains the original appearance.
