One note: do not wear anything not easily washable for the zip line, participants will tumble at speed into a pile of wood chips at least once. Hotel overall and our “residence-style” room were all Western style. Probably explains the relative under-investment in the onsen experience and the relative over-investment in Halloween festivities including decking out the retail promenade with photo-friendly decorations and a brief nightly “meet the monster” show.
