Dunhuang Shanzhuang is truly close to Mingsha Mountain; you can even see it from your room window. Since it was the off-season, the hotel kindly upgraded us to a family room, which was perfect for two adults and one child. Although we went to breakfast every day at 7:30 AM, the staff were incredibly welcoming. The room amenities were excellent, including a foot bath, perfect for relaxing after a tiring day. The air conditioning was strong, so it was never cold, and plenty of bottled water was provided daily. Upon check-in, they even gave us small camel figurines and yogurt. They provided two sets of toiletries daily, which was enough for the three of us. Unlike some hotels that only provide two towels even when they know there are three guests, forcing you to call for extra service, the service here was spot-on. Every staff member you encountered greeted you warmly and enthusiastically, making you feel very welcome. Although the hotel has been open for a long time, and some of the facilities are decades old, it doesn't detract from your stay at all. Breakfast included Lanzhou beef noodles and lamb soup; starting the day with freshly pulled beef noodles was fantastic and kept us warm when heading out. They also gave us a special latte with latte art, intended for enjoying the sunset. Although we didn't have time to watch the sunset, the latte art was a nice touch. Staying during the off-season was a really great experience, quite different from those budget hotels in the city. It's definitely worth staying here.

The hotel is very close to Zhangye West Station, and because we had a lot of luggage, we contacted them for airport/station transfer service, which was very convenient. When checking in, the staff learned that there were three of us and proactively offered a complimentary breakfast and arranged a room upgrade. The hotel's breakfast included freshly pulled beef noodles, 'laozao' (fermented glutinous rice), and more, and it tasted great. The 'Baifu' restaurant across from the hotel was also delicious. Overall, the hotel offers excellent value for money and is highly recommended!!

This hotel looked incredible! From top to bottom, it was clear that the designers took style seriously. The rooms gave off a sense of luxury that few other hotels in this process range have. The carpets, floors, doors, cabinets, beds etc. emitted a sense of tranquility, which made me feel very comfortable. Also, after travelling around China for nearly a month, I can say that this was by far the best breakfast I've had at roughly a dozen hotels. The staff were professional, everything was very clean, and the location could not have been better. My only issues: there was no air conditioning, and my room was very hot at night. Additionally, when the rooms next to you are watching television, you can hear everything in your room.

I traveled with my father and booked two double rooms, both near the road, which were a bit noisy. We arrived at the restaurant at 7:30 am, and it was packed with people. There were no seats, so we had to make do with a bowl of noodles and come back later. When we went back, we had to show our meal tickets. Luckily, there were two of us, so we had four meal tickets for the two double rooms, otherwise we wouldn't have been able to have breakfast. The TV was out of service. The hotel was very clean and well-maintained. Overall, I think this is the best hotel in Xiahe. If you want a more comfortable stay, this hotel is quite good. It's not far to walk to Labrang Monastery. Parking is free at the hotel, so you don't need to drive to the scenic area's parking lot. The price-performance ratio is quite good.

We stayed at the hotel in late 2025.3 Everything exceeded our expectations. When I book, it seems the location outside the city is a drawback of this hotel, which is compensated by a free pickup. But for a sightseeing trip in ZhangYe and with services the hotel has to offer, the location doesn't matter at all. Not to mention that the hotel's car+driver offer is quite competitive compared to what we have pre-booked. ###Room###: The room was spacious with comfortable beds and lots of amenities. WiFi speed is decent. There is also a public washing & drying machine, where the maid offered to wash our clothes. ###Restaurant###: The breakfast was plenty. The dinner offer a wide variety of local and standard dishes at an accpetable price. We got a free decent late night snack/dessert (with milk for children) delivered to the room at night. ###Staff###: The staff was very attentive. It started with the driver waiting at the train staion exit. Then we were greeted at the hotel by a staff with a good command of English. The staff has good knowledge of sightseeing spots in ZY. At dinner, the staffs made their best to help us understand the menu, patiently expained the food choices, as well as help estimate how much food we should order. (We are traveling with 2 children.) When we arrive back at the hotel in the evening, they enthusiasticly offered to help carry our stuffs. Tips are not expected nor accepted. If I have to comment, a moisturizing lotion and extra blankets in the room would help when the weather is cold. This hotel will definitely be my first choice if we ever come to Zhangye again.

Hotel is very close and walking distance to the West entrance, which is less crowded and quiet than the East. The hotel is clean and the room is spacious. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Helped us with finding out the local bus schedule to Bingou and Kangle grassland and back to Zhangye and made sure we boarded the correct bus safely. There are plenty of local food options along the main road as well. Highly recommended to stay here for a Zhangye trip. Will definitely stay here when I return!

Staying at the Sheraton Zhongsheng in Lanzhou was absolutely worth it! The moment I walked in, I was touched by the thoughtful service from the concierge, especially Lucky, who was incredibly welcoming. The room was spacious and tidy, and some room types even offer panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows with direct views of the Yellow River – the night view was breathtaking. The bedding was soft and made for a great night's sleep. Smart bathroom fixtures and a Dyson hairdryer were a super thoughtful touch. The freshly made beef noodles at breakfast were surprisingly authentic. The gym and heated pool facilities were excellent. With direct subway access and surrounded by shopping districts, it's super convenient for getting around and dining out. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Lanzhou!

Can the mattress of Hilton Garden Inn be improved? The edge of the bed is always exposed, and the edge of the bed is a bit sharp. The child bumped into it once because of this reason. The service staff in the restaurant is very good. There is a lady with glasses who closes the table in time. The restaurant manager is also very good and has a very kind smile. The restaurant is also very delicious. The beef noodles in the northwest are really delicious! Very chewy, I like it! There is a small noodle shop opposite the hotel (not the first Xu noodle shop, but a smaller noodle shop). There is a big plate of beef tripe noodles. I was shocked when it was served. Hahahaha, I have never seen noodles served in such a big plate. The uncle is also very nice. He also made a small bowl of non-spicy noodles for the child for free. I think the people in the northwest are so warm and simple!

Dunhuang, a famous city of art and culture, exudes historical and cultural charm everywhere. This is my second visit, and winter brings a different experience. The air feels fresher than in summer, although the northwest wind is biting cold [grinning face emoji]. Choosing to stay at the Four Points by Sheraton Dunhuang, the first international brand hotel in the city, was truly excellent. Front desk manager Anna provided exceptional service, not only paying close attention to our needs and comfort but also saving us unnecessary travel expenses. Most touching was that when I needed to work and reply to emails, she lent me her laptop and allowed us to return it at check-out. This truly exceeded the hotel's service expectations. I took so many great photos during my stay at this hotel; it's really photogenic! The hotel has so much character, and the ambiance is amazing. I highly recommend it! **Service:** The service was excellent. The front desk staff were warm, professional, and went above and beyond. Knowing we were on a road trip, they specially recommended local delicacies, sightseeing routes, and even some hidden photo spots in Jiayuguan. They also suggested a few hidden gem snack shops popular with locals – so thoughtful! Any requests we had during our stay were promptly met by the staff, who were always polite and never perfunctory. It really made us feel well taken care of. **Environment:** The room had fantastic natural light, and the bedding was so comfortable I didn't want to get out of bed. The front desk mentioned the mattress was imported. At night, we could even watch the stars and moon from the room and took some pictures. The location is also excellent, super close to the food street, making it convenient for exploring and dining. It's also a short drive to the Jiayuguan scenic area.
