Highly recommended hotel to stay for vacation. Free parking space at Plaza Merdeka basement for your own vehicle. Walking distance to waterfront, plaza Merdeka and old street. Food and beverages in hotel are quite pricey, but can try food at coffee shop and restaurant nearby.

A Consistently Wonderful Stay
Returning to the Abell Hotel Kuching for another stay reminded me exactly why this property remains my top choice in the city. The location is absolutely unbeatable, offering ultimate convenience for any traveler. It takes just a few minutes to walk down to the beautiful Kuching Waterfront, making it effortless to enjoy scenic evening strolls. Furthermore, the hotel sits right near Chinatown, placing vibrant culture and historic charm directly at your doorstep.
The surrounding area is a paradise for food lovers, boasting a massive variety of dining selections. From bustling local hawker stalls serving authentic Sarawakian dishes to modern cafes, you will never run out of incredible options to try. What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is the exceptional team. The hotel staff are consistently good, professional, and incredibly helpful, always greeting guests with genuine warmth and handling every request with efficiency. I highly recommend the Abell Hotel to anyone visiting Kuching, and I will certainly be staying here again on my next trip
Imperial Riverbank Hotel Kuching is a comfortable and conveniently located hotel in the heart of Kuching city, making it a good choice for both tourists and business travelers. Its main advantage is its strategic location near the Sarawak River and Kuching Waterfront, allowing guests to easily walk to popular attractions, restaurants, and shopping areas. The hotel has a modern and clean design, with a welcoming lobby and generally friendly staff who provide smooth check-in and helpful service throughout the stay.
The rooms are well-maintained, simple, and comfortable, with essential amenities such as air-conditioning, Wi-Fi, and clean bathrooms. Some rooms offer nice views of the city or river, especially at night, which adds to the overall experience. Housekeeping is consistent, and the hotel maintains good cleanliness standards. While the breakfast selection is decent, it is not very extensive, but it is still sufficient for most guests.
Overall, Imperial Riverbank Hotel Kuching offers good value for money due to its location, cleanliness, and comfort. It may not be a luxury hotel, but it provides a pleasant and practical stay for visitors who want easy access to Kuching’s main attractions.
My three-day stay at the Grand Margherita Hotel was the highlight of my trip to Kuching. Situated right in the heart of the city, the location is unbeatable. Being steps away from the iconic Cat Statue and the scenic Kuching Waterfront made exploring the city on foot incredibly easy. My room was facing the cat statue.
The breakfast buffet was amazing,. Their Sarawak Laksa and Kolo Mee are authentic and packed with local flavor. I also love the Roti Jala.
While the hotel carries a classic charm, the rooms are spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The staff truly embody Sarawakian hospitality—friendly, attentive, and always ready with a smile.
Checked in at 3:30pm on a weekday and was told the room still wasn’t ready, which was disappointing considering it wasn’t a public holiday and the hotel didn’t appear particularly busy. After a long day of travelling, the last thing you expect is to wait around past check-in time with no proper explanation or urgency from staff.
The facilities were another letdown. Went for a swim around 9:30am only to find the pool closed for cleaning during peak morning hours. The spa and steam room were also frustrating to use because we had to search for staff every single time just to get them switched on. It defeats the purpose of advertising these facilities if guests can’t conveniently access them when they want to relax.
Overall, the hotel looks nice on the surface, but the service and management of the facilities really took away from the experience. For a Pullman hotel, I expected a much smoother and more premium stay.
We recently stayed at this hotel with our family to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and it was a wonderful experience. The hotel is new, clean, and very well maintained. The rooms were comfortable and spotless, providing a pleasant stay for our family.
The location is excellent, with convenient access to nearby attractions, restaurants, and shopping areas, making it easy to get around. The overall environment was welcoming and relaxing, which made our anniversary celebration even more memorable.
Thank you to the hotel team for the great hospitality. We had an enjoyable stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to families, couples, and anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay.
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The hotel's location is excellent, right above a mall. It's also in the bustling city center. The front desk staff are friendly and welcoming. The room itself is good, too. My only complaint is that the air conditioning wasn't cold at all. We switched to a second room, and the AC was still just as warm. 🙄
This 2-year old Sarawakian chain hotel offers a comfortable and hassle-free stay. The front desk and Noosa staff are friendly. There are in-house cafe and convenience store on ground floor, in-house restaurant at 2nd floor, and rooftop event hall. The hotel offers open-air balcony on every floor, so hotel guests can catch spectacular sunset scenery over Gunung Serapi in the horizon. The room is very spacious, but a bit too dim. Even the bathroom (especially shower area) is too dim. The shower knob is confusing and troubling. Roadside parking spots are plenty and nearby. Otherwise, it was a pleasant and relaxing stay.
Out of my surprise this hotel is newly built and operate since March 2026 and very convenient as walking distance to biggest mall in Sarawak- Vivacity Megamall and u can have everything settle over there for food, leisure , shopping, movie etc.
While convenience store just located beside the hotel. Easy to move around to BCCK for event and event grab away to Water front area. Cosy stay and the level 5 check in counter is impressive, with nice music and the waiting lounge is amazing with free flow coffee, tea & water. Their concierge service is good. Front desk staff is friendly.
Things to improve:
- outsource breakfast to Kopitiam beside 7eleven as their serving is very slow and not key in order accordingly with the limited breakfast choices & not buffet style which will be more convenient.
- to have a place for laundry service since 11-14floor is not yet operate…
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Stay & Delicious Dinner
I had a very pleasant stay at Riverside Majestic Hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay.
One of the highlights was having dinner at the Puteri Lounge. I enjoyed the braised beef short ribs served with mashed potatoes and vegetables. The beef was tender, flavorful, and very satisfying. I also had a hot cup of coffee, which was the perfect complement to the meal.
Overall, it was a relaxing stay with good food, great service, and a comfortable atmosphere. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Kuching.
Highly recommended! 😊

EExplore the world with JosephI had a pleasant stay at City Rise Hotel Miri during my visit to Miri. The hotel offers a comfortable and clean environment, making it a great choice for both business and leisure travelers. The rooms are well-maintained, spacious, and equipped with the essential amenities needed for a relaxing stay.
One of the hotel’s biggest advantages is its convenient location, with easy access to restaurants, shopping areas, and local attractions around Miri city. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with any requests, which made the overall experience even more enjoyable.
The check-in and check-out process was smooth and efficient, while the hotel provided good value for money compared to other accommodations in the area. My booking comes with a breakfast, which was great to start the day.
Overall, I had a satisfying experience and would recommend City Rise Hotel Miri to travelers looking for an affordable, clean, and conveniently located place to stay.
GGuest UserExceptional Hospitality That Made My Birthday Special
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Pullman Kuching Hotel, and it was truly a memorable experience. I chose to celebrate my birthday there, and the team went above and beyond to make it special.
A heartfelt thank you to I-Rene Saw, the Guest Experience Manager, and her wonderful team for their thoughtful arrangements. They beautifully decorated the room, surprised me with a birthday cake, and put us to a newly renovated room. These small yet meaningful gestures made a big difference and created a warm, celebratory atmosphere.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay — the service was attentive, the room was comfortable and modern, and the overall experience exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend Pullman Kuching Hotel for anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay.
Thank you once again to I-Rene and the team for making my birthday so special!
GGuest UserDamai Lagoon Resort is nestled between the Mountain Santubong and the South China Sea. The resort environment is serene tugged in a tropical rainforest setting. The area provides a tranquil retreat with dense jungles and sandy beaches. The Sarawak Cultural Village is located just a stone’s throw away. It is within 10 minutes walking distance.
We were given all sea-fronting views with one corner rooms on the 3rd floor. We could listen to the waves crashing on the beach during high tide. The spacious space coupled with modern shower amenities and comfortable bedding made our stay an enjoyable experience and we had a relaxing time there. The buffet breakfast served was sumptuous with wide spread of local cuisines.
We enjoyed swimming in the clean infinity pool in a sunset backdrop. There are many indoor games provided for the children. Thus, you will not get bored staying in this resort. The resort entrance is grand and the guest lounge is huge and beautiful overlooking the sea.
The resort staff members are very helpful and friendly. The resort is highly recommended if you want to have a relaxing holiday outside Kuching city.
Thank you.

GGuest UserThis is a classic older hotel. The biggest highlight is definitely the great views and relaxing atmosphere, especially the balcony area which is very comfortable and offers excellent scenery.
We stayed in a triple room. The room itself felt quite old, and the facilities clearly showed their age. As for cleanliness, it was a case of 'looks okay on the surface, but the details are lacking.' For instance, there were some less-than-clean marks on the sheets, and while the towels had clearly been washed, their dark color wasn't ideal. The bathroom's cleanliness was also just average; not overtly dirty, but not meticulously clean either.
Overall, the hotel's strong points are its views and location. However, there's room for improvement regarding the room's hardware and the detailed cleanliness. It's best suited for guests who prioritize scenic views and are less sensitive about the age of the accommodations.
GGuest UserThe room was definitely not 33 square meters. The cups had limescale, and the bathroom amenities weren't replenished promptly. For a five-star hotel, using such an old kettle is unacceptable. The pillows were so uncomfortable; I couldn't sleep a wink for both nights I stayed. The mattress must be really old, as it was already a bit saggy.

GGuest UserTo best describe this place, it's like a mini paradise atop a cliff overlooking the beautiful sea, with a twist of staying in large cylindrical concert culverts.
You can easily spot it along the road to Damai with its large circular logo at its gate. It was closed upon my arrival at 3pm, but due to the main entrance being easily seen from the receptionist area, it didn't take long for them to open the gate, and I just drove right in.
The receptionist was very polite and welcoming, decently professional as well, after checking us in we were given a quick tour around, highlighting the facilities and public areas.
The room itself, being quite quirky in its own way, isn't too difficult to maneuver around, as long as you don't rush yourself and knock yourself around the relatively tiny room. Adequate steps are built to help climbing up and moving around, with simple storage spots around the bed, which by itself takes up about half of the room. The other side of the room is the bathing area, which I would say is surprisingly spacious enough to use. So a bed and a bathing area sums up the entire, unique cylindrical room.
The hotel itself is nicely planned, guests can pamper themselves by picking their favorite spots located around the place, and enjoy a marvelous view of the sea. There's also a small private beach all the way down the cliff too. Facilities include swimming pools, sauna room, washer + dryer machines, gymnasium, library, etc. are pretty neat if you need them.
I would say the place is great for couples, and a short refresher trip. I technically live in the city just half an hour drive away, but to catch a break from work and relax here for a day, I'd recommend this place in a heartbeat. Just make sure you've got the legs to climb up and down the place!
SSerene_lanAs the first person to write a review, I have to praise this hotel. It was my first business trip to Kuching, and this hotel suddenly appeared on the 18th. There were no reviews, which made me worried I might have a bad experience. I checked online and found it was part of the IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) group, and it was a renovated older hotel. After checking in, I felt it was incredibly good value for the price. The hotel's decor was grand and unique, with a youthful and stylish design. Many corners featured thoughtfully placed furniture and artwork. The facilities were excellent. Because the hotel is new, every corner of the room was spotless. As someone who travels frequently for business, I'm very particular about hotel cleanliness, and this hotel truly didn't disappoint. The front desk staff were very polite and welcoming. The bedding was very comfortable and soft, and I slept very well. The bathrobes were also of high quality, the towels were clean, and the toiletries smelled wonderful. The breakfast was plentiful with many choices, and I heard the dinner was also good. This hotel truly exceeded my expectations. Before this, I was torn between two other five-star hotels in Kuching, but after this comparison, I won't have to worry about choosing another one. Voco just opened on June 18th, and I still feel a slight smell of renovation. It gets better after turning on the air conditioning and ventilating. If you mind the smell of renovation, you can move in after September; I think the smell should dissipate by then. It's only about a 10-minute walk from the airport, and it's also about a 10-minute walk to popular spots like the Seaside Plaza. The location is very convenient. If I come here for business again, I will definitely choose this place without hesitation.
AAim for food !4🌟 stay at Riverside Majestic Hotel Astana Wing for 4D3N.
Overall, it was a comfortable stay with very friendly and helpful staff throughout our trip. Housekeeping also did a good job with room cleanliness and bed arrangement daily.
One of the best parts of the stay was the beautiful view overlooking the Kuching Waterfront. The sunset view from the room was really nice and relaxing, especially during the evening.
Breakfast had quite a good variety. During our 4D3N stay, the live stall consistently served Laksa Sarawak and Kolomee, which was a nice local touch. The salad section and some hot dishes were changed daily as well, so breakfast did not feel too repetitive.
However, for a 4-star hotel, there are still quite a number of maintenance details that need improvement. On our first night, we faced an issue with the air-conditioning not being cold enough. After informing the front counter, the staff responded well and arranged a room change for us. The second room had much better air-conditioning.
Another small point for improvement is the room amenities. Coffee and tea were only replenished on the first day of check-in and not refilled during the following days.
Overall, still a pleasant stay with good service from the team, but the hotel facilities and maintenance can definitely be improved further.
