Hotel near Gaoqi International Airport area,Xiamen
TTOM_SH 2026.04.19
The hotel is located not far from Xiamen Gaoqi Airport, yet despite being so close, you can't hear any airplane noise at all. They offer an airport shuttle service that runs every 30 minutes. You simply need to contact the staff via WeChat once you arrive at the airport; they are very responsive, and it took us less than 5 minutes to get to the hotel. The room condition was excellent and true to the photos. The bathroom has a well-thought-out layout with separate zones for the shower and toilet. The room was free of any cigarette smoke, and the walls are thick, so we didn't hear any noise from neighboring rooms. All necessary amenities were provided, and average breakfast.

The room was well-equipped, and the bath towels and regular towels were clean and thick. The trash cans had sorting compartments, and the leaf-shaped soap smelled lovely. Breakfast was plentiful, and we got to try all the local snacks. I even saw many people in ethnic costumes taking photos; I'm not sure if it was a special service provided by the hotel, but we were in a hurry and didn't have time to ask.

The hotel was easy to find and convenient for taxis. The front desk staff was very handsome and check-in was quick. It's not far from Sanfang Qixiang. The biggest plus is that the airport shuttle to Changle departs right across the street, which is super convenient. The only downside was the breakfast, a KFC set meal, which was disappointingly small. If I had known, I wouldn't have opted for breakfast; it wasn't worth the price. Everything else was great though!

The hotel's garden is absolutely beautiful, and the atmosphere is quiet and elegant, offering a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle. It's incredibly relaxing to just be there. The location is also excellent; it's very convenient for dining out and shopping. The soundproofing in the rooms is great, so it's very quiet at night, ensuring a wonderful night's sleep. Breakfast is exquisitely presented, making for a truly ceremonial dining experience. But what truly stands out is the service! When we arrived, it was raining, and the reception staff immediately came over to help us with umbrellas, getting themselves wet in the process โ€“ it was incredibly thoughtful. Such a warm and attentive hotel is a rare find; every detail makes you feel secure and comfortable. Whether for a trip, a vacation, or just a relaxing short stay, this place is absolutely perfect. I will definitely be back!

This time, I brought my dad, husband, and son for a family trip to Fuzhou, and we chose to stay at the Shangri-La Fuzhou. The overall experience was absolutely perfect! ๐Ÿ’ฏ The hotel's location is superb, making it incredibly convenient for getting around and shopping. The lobby has an elegant and grand atmosphere, and the rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortably laid out. It was quiet and relaxing to stay there, and our whole family had a wonderful rest. I must especially commend Cynthia, the front desk staff, for her incredibly gentle and professional service. She handled our check-in efficiently and thoughtfully, showing patience and meticulousness throughout. She proactively helped us with various matters and even kindly assisted with issuing the accommodation invoice. The process was smooth and hassle-free, demonstrating full professionalism, which made us feel incredibly at ease and worry-free. The overall service is excellent, the environment is comfortable, and the facilities are complete, making it particularly suitable for family trips with children. Everyone in my family was very satisfied. We will definitely prioritize staying here again on our next visit to Fuzhou, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone!

Stayed at Green Tree Eastern Hotel Xiamen and honestly the location is super convenient for solo travelers. Easy to go around, nearby food spots, metro, and many places to explore. The room was clean and comfortable, staff were friendly, and check-in was smooth. Breakfast was also surprisingly good with many choices, perfect before starting the day exploring the city. Traveling alone felt very safe and convenient here. Definitely a good choice if you want an easy stay in Xiamen without spending too much time on transportation. Would stay again next trip ๐Ÿ˜Š

Service: Five stars definitely go to the front desk ladies! Their service was absolutely amazing!!!!! They proactively offered detailed travel tips and were incredibly accommodating, recommending local specialties and even souvenirs we could take home. You really can't find a hotel this good elsewhere โ€“ what more can I say, Shenzhen is yours! They also handled any issues super promptly. We booked a 1.5-meter twin room, and the lady at the front desk immediately upgraded us to a 1.8-meter bed. I also want to commend the cleaning staff; the room was spotless. Amenities: Pretty good! There's a projector, though the Wi-Fi signal was a bit spotty and kept cutting out. For screen mirroring, you need your own membership, otherwise, you can't watch much. You can also listen to music ๐ŸŽถ. Environment: Simple and clear. The lobby is bright with plenty of seating for guests to relax. The hotel is only one floor, and Gulangyu Island is right across the street, so transportation is quite convenient. Just remember to close the windows when you sleep, as the traffic outside can be very noisy โ€“ it's not very soundproof. If I ever come back to Xiamen, I will definitely book this hotel again and recommend it to my friends. And by the way, here are some beautiful photos I took of Xiamen ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™ˆ

EElizabeth Frances RoseThis place makes me wish there was an option for six stars. I study Asian art for a living, and I travelled to Jianyang to visit the home of Jian ware, classic tea bowls of the Song dynasty (960 to 1279 CE), distinguished by their black and brown glazes. Over the last few decades, firing Jian ware in the Song tradition has been revived in the area. I chose Nanping Colourful Village Homestay because it was in Jianyang, affordable, and accepted international guests. What I found was a luxury resort with all the warmth and personal attention of a homestay. I asked the front desk about an excavated Song kiln site in a nearby village, and the receptionist brought me the manager, who arranged for someone to take me the next day. My driver was Ms. Huang, an employee of the resort whose job involves buying and selling contemporary pieces. She knew everything about Jian ware! The kiln site isnโ€™t run as a tourist site, so I was only able to view it because Ms. Huang arranged for it to be opened for me. I had told them I was vegetarian, so for lunch they took me to lunch at a vegetarian buffet. Then we visited the townโ€™s Jian ware museum, where they have exhibits on the history of tea and Jian ware, historical pieces, and the work of contemporary Jianyang potters. To my delight, Mr. Gao, the potter-in-residence at the resort, uses a Song-style wood-fired dragon kiln, built right on the grounds! His pieces that range from beautiful but quite affordable to exquisite and appropriately expensive. They include both iridescent silvery oil spot and orange-to-black hareโ€™s fur pieces. I am still thrilled that I was able to purchase wood-fired pieces on my limited budget. For dinner, the resortโ€™s restaurant prepared vegetarian versions of Fujian cuisine for me. The food was all delicious, featuring classic Fujianese mountain ingredients like local bamboo and mushrooms. Then we visited Mr. Gaoโ€™s dragon kiln, and later his studio, where he experiments with different local clays and glaze recipes. The rich colours and iridescence of Jian ware are the result of the iron-rich local material fired at high temperature, and the results are as unpredictable as they are beautiful. The next day, they drove me to Mr. Chenโ€™s family tea plantation in the mountains, where they grow famous northern Fujian teas. These fine teas were all wonderful, smooth and rich with a touch of smoke, and sometimes fruity in flavour. We strolled through mountainsides of tea bushes and visited groves of centuries-old tea trees. This is a perfect place for an immersive experience in China that is also very comfortable and convenient. I often find tourist experiences in China claustrophobic due to the press of people, but the resort was spacious and airy, and they took me to places where there was no one else but us and the occasional local going about their business. Everyone was very patient with my limited Chinese language skills. They were also happy to work with translator apps on our phones, so if you donโ€™t speak any Chinese, you will be fine. This would be a great place to come as a family. There are gardens and rides for kids right next to the resort. You can learn how to whip Song-style tea and carve your name into the base of your own Jian ware cup. Not far away is a historical theme park with a collection of real architecture from the Ming (1368 to 1644 CE) and Qing (1636 to 1912 CE) dynasties. The employees wear period dress and there are performances and activities. Nearby there are hiking trails, historical sites, and lovely villages to visit. Itโ€™s also very close to Wuyi Mountain National Park, so it would be a perfect place to stay if the mountains are your destination. If you ask, they could arrange for you to visit famous sites or take you to breathtaking places that only locals know, whatever you want. They can also arrange transport to and from the train station or airport.

AAnonymous UserThe room was decent, and the hotel is conveniently located near the seaside and the ferry terminal. It's right next to Zhonghua City, and just a 5-minute walk to Zhongshan Road, though I wouldn't recommend Zhongshan Road as the environment isn't great. The Botanical Garden, Huli Mountain Fortress, Xiamen University, Baicheng Beach, the Coastal Road, and the 'Sea View of Kinmen' tour from Heping Wharf are all worth visiting. Definitely avoid the offshore cruises recommended by people on the street โ€“ they're usually from sketchy companies. Breakfast offered a good variety, but the soy milk and fried dough sticks were a bit cold, and I couldn't get used to the duck blood in the oyster vermicelli soup.

AAnonymous UserService: The service was incredibly attentive and efficient. They were very quick to respond to requests, definitely a five-star experience. Environment: The view was fantastic, overlooking the Min River. We got to watch the sunset, which was absolutely beautiful. Facilities: The TV wasn't a smart TV, so we couldn't cast anything to it. Hopefully, they'll update that soon. I really liked the toiletries, though. Breakfast: There was a good variety of options, but the taste was just average. It was extremely crowded, and there was a lot of waiting in line.

GGuest UserThis hotel stay was absolutely perfect! The breakfast was definitely the highlight โ€“ a wide variety of freshly cooked hot dishes, all very flavorful. The self-service egg-frying experience was especially enjoyable; you get to choose the eggs and control their doneness entirely on your own, making it both fresh and fun. Paired with porridge and their multigrain drinks, it was incredibly satisfying. The location is also impeccable, right next to the California Shopping Plaza, making shopping and dining super convenient without any planning. Even better, parking is fantastic โ€“ plenty of spaces and easy access. Just register your license plate at the front desk and it's free, eliminating a major concern for those driving. Overall, the service was attentive, the environment clean and comfortable, exceeding all expectations. It's excellent value for money, and I've already recommended it to my friends. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time!

Ffernanda9The room was very clean and the environment was quiet. Xiao Bai (the staff) was very nice and upgraded us to a higher room category. Before we left, they even gave our child some small seashells, which was a very thoughtful touch. The hotel breakfast was delicious, especially the Shacha noodles, which were tastier than any we'd had in the days before arriving on the island. The complimentary lunch included in the package was also very good, though the yellow croaker was a bit small, just one tiny fish. At the end of September, when tourist traffic wasn't heavy, we arrived on the island at 11 AM. The shuttle service was perfectly arranged, helping us avoid the scorching sun. We later found out that a shuttle ride on the island costs 50 RMB per person, so for our family of three, we saved a good 150 RMB. Most of the snacks on the island were just okay, but the Dayang Restaurant was quite good. If you have the time, staying on the island is definitely recommended. You can avoid the midday sun and take your kids to play by the beach in the afternoon. Strolling around the island in the evening makes this a very high-value-for-money place. Xiamen offers a resort experience similar to Sanya, yet also gives you the illusion of wandering through the streets and alleys of a small Hong Kong or Macau island.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent, right next to Juchunyuan and Dameng Food Street, and across from Dameng is Sanfang Qixiang, which is super convenient. It's also very close to the subway station, making getting around a breeze. The hotel's cleanliness is good, and the rooms aren't small, with all the necessary amenities. I hope the breakfast selection could be a bit more varied, but it's not a big deal since Fuzhou has so many great local snacks. On the last day, they kindly extended my check-out time to 2:30 PM, which was very thoughtful and perfectly aligned with my train schedule. Excellent service!

GGuest UserI really loved the hotel's design and ambiance. The room was comfortable, spacious, and spotless. It featured a projector, an automatic toilet, and smart room modes; with just a press of a button, the lighting and other settings would adjust automatically. They also offer a complimentary shuttle service to and from the train station, which was incredibly convenient. There's a courier station just a 3-minute walk away. The breakfast spread offered a good variety too! Everything tasted delicious โ€“ flavorful, not too salty or greasy. I especially recommend the *jiuniang* (sweet fermented rice soup), Sihuanhua, fried eggs, and the freshly made noodles. The staff were all very warm and friendly, always greeting us. Knowing we had traveled a long distance, they even gave us a small gift bag containing some snacks and water to help us re-energize for our journey. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time! (They even upgraded us for free as our originally booked room type wasn't available due to a late check-out. *Please note: The attached photo is of the upgraded room, not our original booking.*)

NNinuodewubuThis guesthouse offers incredible value for money. I connected with them on WeChat before checking in, and there were 7-8 staff members in the group chat who would respond instantly to any questions. The room was spacious and exceptionally clean, making for a very comfortable stay. The breakfast was incredibly rich and varied; the large steamed buns were especially delicious โ€“ I'd have at least two every day! They even provide six bottles of water in the room, along with many small snacks and Dahongpao tea eggs. There's just too much to list! Seriously, come stay here; you'll be completely satisfied in every way!
