Excellent location, right in the city center. It's only about a 150-meter walk from Metro Line 1, and you can reach all the main attractions on foot. The University of Bergen is also right next door. The only downside is that the rooms are a bit small.
Very historic hotel. You can visit the hotel to learn about its history, from the hotel built before World War I to how it has evolved step by step to today. The hotel has a restaurant and the front desk service is very professional.
Everything was great! Although it's located on a hill, it's close to the bus stop, making transportation very convenient. The room rate includes a generous breakfast. Sheets and towels are available for a fee, but you can bring your own sleeping bag for the bed. There are lockers in the room, so you'll need to bring a lock. Each bed also has a small table and chair. The restrooms and showers were relatively clean.

Had a fantastic stay at Zander K Hotel in Bergen. The staff were super friendly and genuinely excited to share recommendations on where to go in Bergen and what to do at the Christmas market, which made our trip even more enjoyable and special.
The location is excellent — right next to the train station from Oslo and the rail connection from the airport, making arrival and departure extremely convenient. It’s also within walking distance to several tourist attractions, so getting around was very easy.
Breakfast was delicious, with a great variety to start the day. Overall, a wonderful hotel with welcoming staff, a perfect location, and a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended and would definitely stay here again.

I originally booked a Deluxe City View Room with a balcony for two nights, from the 10th to the 12th. However, due to a canceled overnight train, I needed to check in a night earlier, so I booked a Standard Room for the 9th on the same day, as I would be arriving very late.
Since the two bookings were for different room types, I checked out on the 10th and switched to the Deluxe City View Room with a balcony. But I was extremely disappointed! When I entered the deluxe room, I found it was exactly the same as the Standard Room I stayed in last night. So, I went to the front desk to inquire if there had been a mistake. Why were the deluxe and standard rooms identical?
The front desk staff member who responded initially said he wasn't entirely sure, as he wasn't a permanent employee there and was just helping out (though his attitude was fine). After several inquiries, he told me that Room 306, which I was in, was indeed a Deluxe City View Room. I pointed out that the pictures on Trip.com showed a balcony, but my room didn't have one. He then told me that only three rooms in the entire hotel have balconies, and those balconies are shared with other rooms! I found this quite absurd! However, there were no other rooms available, and I didn't want to ruin my travel mood, so I reluctantly accepted it.
If I hadn't added that extra night in the standard room at the last minute, I wouldn't have had a comparison and wouldn't have encountered this unpleasant experience.
I don't know if this is a problem with the platform's information or with the hotel itself!

This hotel has two different wings, an old and a new building. The better rooms are located in the new building with good beds. The old building has the lobby and restaurant which is more convenient. Will stay here again if boarding a cruise is my priority.
The room is compact, but although it is small, it is well-equipped. The bed was also very comfortable. Breakfast was very good. You can even buy lunch boxes to pack your food, which is a great deal. A taxi from the airport costs 350 kronor, for reference. Highly recommended to friends who are in transit.
The hotel's location is absolutely perfect, right by Lake Voss. It's quiet and incredibly pleasant. If you're looking for a late-night snack, the Kiwi supermarket is about a 3-minute walk away (closes at 11 PM) where you can grab some Arctic sweet shrimp. The breakfast was good, and the sauna room, with its floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the snowy mountains and lake, is highly recommended for a relaxing session – it's so romantic! There's a shuffleboard in the lobby, which we also saw at our hotel in Geiranger later on, so it seems to be a popular indoor game in Scandinavia! 😄
The hotel was unexpectedly beautiful, with a stylish design and great natural light.
The room we booked was a bit small, and the facilities were new. The chair in the room was uncomfortable and slipped down when you sat on it, and the sink drain was clogged. As with most hotels, there was only body wash but no conditioner, slippers, or toothbrush sets.
The room didn't have a kettle, but you could ask the front desk for one.
The breakfast was very rich and exceeded our expectations.
Parking was cheaper than in most areas.

The room was decent, but mine didn't have a view. Breakfast was quite good though, with plenty of vegetables, fruits, and smoked salmon. Many locals and visitors from neighboring countries stay here. It's a two-minute walk to the famous harbor, making shopping in the city center super convenient. The train station is only a five-minute walk away, which is great for exploring different places. Overall, it was a good stay.

KKit manFor a tourist without car, it is in excellent location, 7 minutes to railway station to/from airport on foot with luggage n railway ticket just cost nok44 , walking distance to cable station to Floyen mount or Bergenhus or Ferry pier and shops. I reserved a small room but got a room of good size with windows and sofa. There are supporting staff in reception always and they can help me for my enquiries. They can provide electrical kettle at request. Coffee is free in lobby. Breakfast is also good , simple with good choices. I will reserve it if I will visit Bergen again.
GGuest UserWe had a lovely stay at Scandic Torget! The location is so convenient as you are within walking distance for many tourist/sightseeing spots. Tour busses usually do pick up on the same street as Scandic Torget so that is super convenient too! Only thing is that on the weekends it can get a little bit noisy from midnight to 4AM. But overall we had an amazing stay and would recommend staying at Scandic Torget!

TTwilightmeiI love everything about this hotel!! It was exceptional especially for the breakfast, i can’t help but be so greedy that i ate everything served. (don’t worry there were no food waste!! everything went directly to our belly🤣) we got free room upgrade as well with amazing view.
at night we played some board games to spend time as outside was too cold
AAnonymous UserAbout an 8-minute walk from Bergen Station, and a 15-20 minute walk to the Bryggen area, this hotel boasts a great location. As it's a self-check-in hotel, the price point is very reasonable, making it perfectly adequate if you just need a place to sleep. It's clean, and even though it's self-check-in, you still see hotel staff around. I used the porter service for a fjord tour, and my luggage was properly stored in the baggage room.
GGuest UserWe found the Fretheim Hotel very pleasant upon arrival — from the beautiful entryway to the stunning views from our balcony and the delicious breakfast, it certainly makes a great first impression.
However, our room was a disappointment. Walking in, it felt outdated and somewhat cheap, which was surprising given the price of 2800 NOK per night. Essentials were lacking: no face washers, tissues, or shampoo were provided (the staff suggested using body wash as a substitute), and we had to specifically request a small bottle of conditioner. The old age of the towels was clearly apparent, and mold was visible on the glass wall at the edge of the bath.
Another unusual aspect was room temperature control: it’s managed from the main desk downstairs, and with no phone in the room, we had to go down late at night just to adjust it. We’ve never encountered this before.
The bathroom clearly shows its age — dated to the late 1990s — and it contributed to the overall feeling of the room being out of step with the hotel’s otherwise high standard.
In summary, while the hotel itself is charming and well-located, the room we stayed in did not meet expectations for the price and could benefit from updates and better in-room amenities.
GGuest UserThe old hotel has a vintage feel and a tranquil atmosphere, with many details and historical artworks. It's conveniently located right next to the station. The breakfast is plentiful and varied, and you can enjoy the view and watch people go by from the window.
NNtyjessicacacacacaNice!
They got me the highest floor which is great, and special type room, love it!
Most of the things u need are provided except slippers, toothbrush and toothpaste.
I think most rooms can see the pier view.
The first night, some birds, maybe, or someone shooting fireworks at my window making loud noises and I can see some flash lights out the window. Scared die me.
Food: free breakfast and dinner.
Breakfast was great, dinner ok but love breakfast more.
Trip.com says the bottle water are free, but in fact they will be charged. I didn’t notice that and took one, before check out, just saw the pricing list(ー ー;)
Location: a bit tricky to find the ENTRANCE! When u see the building, TUR RIGHT! To the right u can find the real entrance( the front one is no longer in use).
very convenient, located at the heart of Bergen, the Bergen museum is next to the hotel. The fifth photo is very close to the hotel. A few minutes walk to the mountain tram station.
By the way, u can ask the front desk and get the key for accessing the roof top( third and fourth photo)
AAToiI recently enjoyed a 3-night stay at Hotel No.13 in Bergen. While my room lacked windows, it was comfortable and cleaned daily, making it a pleasant place to return to after a day of travel. The absence of a window didn't bother me much, as I spent most of my time exploring the city. The check-in and check-out staff were notably friendly and helpful, which added to the overall positive experience. The daily breakfast included in my rate was basic.
What truly stands out is the hotel's convenient location which is near Byparken Station and walkable distance to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Bryggen one of the most popular tourist attractions in Norway. It is a historic wharf with colorful wooden houses dating back to the 14th century.
GGuest UserThe hotel has a great location, right near the pier. Although the exterior is European-style architecture, the rooms are modern and simple. The rooms are spacious enough to easily accommodate two large suitcases. Room cleaning was very prompt. The restaurant is indeed beautiful, and the breakfast is quite plentiful. The staff are all warm and attentive. Parking was done in the hotel's recommended parking lot for over 47 hours, costing 467 kronor. I don't know about any discounts, just for your reference.
