EevenjsExcellent location right in the heart of Old Town. The service was okay, but the price is incredibly high, making the overall experience feel a bit lacking. I really don't think staying at the Fairmont Le Château Frontenac is a must when visiting Quebec City. As soon as you walk in, you're hit with an outdated feeling; it doesn't have that sense of grandeur and luxury you'd find at, say, the Peace Hotel, nor the meticulous and thoughtful service of the Seattle Fairmont. If I were to come again, I'd probably opt for a quality B&B in the Old Town for a more comfortable stay.

MMatt88My sister and I just finished visiting my son in Toronto and we decided to visit Montreal. We booked 2 rooms.
We had a terrible experience at Royal York Fairmont . We got kicked out from the lobby lounge by Karen over there for voicing our concern for the service being slow.
For we had absolutely low expectations for QE. When we checked in there were 3 staff at the counter. 2 of them were engaged in their friendly conversation and one of them stepped up to help us. I thought that was totally unprofessional for the staff chatting among themselves in front of guests.
Rooms are basic and clean. The location is central. The staff has showed no warmth and attention. In Asia a hotel of this level will greet u warmly and the better one will remember your name.
Services at restaurants in Montreal are top notch. We visited some with long history and the staff took pride to explain to us the history. It is a shame Fairmont has some of best historic buildings in Canada and the staff showed no interest to highlight the history of the buildings.
I travelled a lot for me to earn a diamond member here. I will avoid staying at Fairmont and any of their member hotels from now on.

GGuest UserWe had a great experience at the Manoir Richelieu Hotel. A historical site where old meets new! The site is well kept while maintaining a historical vibe to it. Clean hotel, staff very friendly and wants to help to allow you to live a memorable experience. They go out of their way! Food at the hotel was very good , the restaurant was a 5* experience! Pool, spa, sauna , gym, game room, cinema, sports equipment offered, forest trails, skating rings outdoor, singer on weekend nights were all great experiences and we would go back anytime! :) it was definitely a beautiful discovery! The only problem was a miscommunication between trip.com and the hotel as trip.com states the breakfast is 15$ on site . It is not the case but they ended up honouring it when I showed them my detailed reservation information.

DDee2061What an amazing stay. The hotel is absolutely stunning. We stayed in the crystal suite which is a corner suite with huge windows overlooking the city. The room was so fancy with high end luxury decor and furnishings. The bathroom was huge with a soaking tub and tiled shower. The room was stocked with snacks and a bar with various liquor. I felt like I was back in a Las Vegas hotel. We had a minor issue with a light bulb flickering and someone came to replace it within 10 mins of us calling the front desk. Top notch service. The room was very quiet. We parked in a garage a few blocks down that was reasonably priced so it was a quick walk over.

GGURKARANSofitel was an amazing place! We really enjoyed the welcome service, the location was decently convenient, the hotel was clean, and it was close enough to amenities and restaurants. I do wish it looked more pretty on the outside, inside, and there was a more grand lobby. The lobby area was okay, and it doesn’t feel too premium.

MMontag19Our stay was perfect! Checkin was seamless. The staff was extremely kind and helpful! The room was clean and exactly as pictured. The electronic features of the room were an added bonus (motion sensor lighting and electronic blinds/curtains, sensor and heated toilet). The location was amazing and so close to everything. The concierge helped us find a fun speakeasy within walking distance and checked in with us afterwards. Best weekend trip in a long time!

The room facilities, hygiene and environment were still very good, but the floor I was assigned this time was lower, the orientation was not as good as last time, and the window in the room was not as big as last time, facing a big white wall. I contacted the front desk and they changed me to another room. Another thing I didn't understand was that all the bottles of shower gel, shampoo and lotion in this room were empty. After calling the front desk, they sent someone to restock them, which was quite timely. As a high-end hotel, this kind of mistake should not be made.
