The hotel environment is really nice, and the location is also very good, not far from the Temple of the Sun and the Plaza de Armas. What is incredible is that Ctrip booked us a basement on the first night, and after negotiation, we moved to the first floor for the second stay. Not only is the view not good, but the items in the room are also of a different grade. For such an expensive hotel, Ctrip still uses this kind of tricks, and they will cheat if they can, and they also want to make a profit from the price difference😱
Belmond Monasterio: The Best Hotel in Cusco, Beyond Any Comparison
Without exaggeration, Belmond Monasterio is the best hotel in Cusco. Even after trying two other higher-priced Belmond properties and the JW Marriott, I still firmly believe this is the ultimate choice.
The beauty of this hotel is beyond words. The elegant public spaces and tranquil gardens create an atmosphere of timeless serenity. The classic, historic walls whisper stories of the past, while the dazzling golden chapel adds a breathtaking sense of grandeur. Every detail is a masterpiece.
Yet, what truly sets Belmond Monasterio apart is its service. The staff are warm, professional, and genuinely caring. Their service attitude is impeccable—perhaps the best in South America. A prime example: when I lost my credit card, they found it and returned it promptly. Compared to the Los Cabos Waldorf (which I mention due to its premium pricing), this hotel’s service is on another level—infinitely more personal, thoughtful, and heartfelt.
I would love to give special recognition to my butler, though unfortunately, I have forgotten his name.
In short, I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Endless love for Belmond Monasterio.
It is quite far from the five-star requirements, the environment is very good, the breakfast is too perfunctory, it is not convenient to get in and out of the hotel (far from Ouxingtai) to take a taxi is not very convenient
This is the style I want. You can pet alpacas for free. But the room lighting is too dim, which is a bit uncomfortable. Then on the day of arrival, something went wrong and the hotel couldn't find my order. A young man at the front desk of the hotel actually said it was not his fault. Who is discussing right and wrong with you? As an employee of a luxury hotel, you should patiently help guests solve problems! It is recommended that the hotel strengthen service awareness training to deserve the title of luxury hotel. The service of other employees is still good. Special praise for Ctrip's customer service, who quickly helped me solve the problem.
We had an amazing stay. The food was incredible, especially the breakfast. And the service was better than anywhere else. They helped us with everything we needed and treated us like family :)
The Sumaq Machu Picchu Hotel is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. The Sumaq Machu Picchu Hotel offers a pleasant stay in Aguas Calientes for those traveling for business or leisure. The hotel is just 700m away from Machu Picchu Station. With multiple attractions nearby including Machu Picchu HotSprings, Parque Mirador Río Vilcanota and Biblioteca Pedro Quijada Berrocal, guests will find plenty to keep themselves occupied. After a long day of sightseeing, guests can retire to the comfort of the hotel.

CCHARLESGood environment, good location, you can take the train directly to Machu Picchu at the hotel. The room is large, with Walk In Closet. Good service.
GGuest UserThe rooms were great. The staff was especially helpful. Not of all Gonzalo. August was also wonderful. And the server Juan Marco always helped.
