Thaiwoo Town Nanshanli Hotel

The window overlooks the Thaiwoo mountain view. On the first floor, there's a coffee shop and a 'Haishen Qibing' (similar to an indoor playground) which wasn't too crowded and seemed clean. However, adults accompanying children also need to buy full tickets. Waiting for the hotel elevator was a bit slow but acceptable. Breakfast was incredibly busy; staff mentioned it was always crowded, no matter the time, so finding a table took a long time. The breakfast quality was just average. The complimentary buffet dinner wasn't as good as at the Intercontinental and also very crowded. The room had all the basic amenities, so overall it was okay, but compared to the room rate, the value for money was just average. Its main advantage is the environment. The hotel offers a free shuttle service to the town every 20 minutes, and it only takes 3 minutes to get there. Free parking is available, but spots are limited, and EV charging is also an option.

Great location, and the room was spacious, bright, and comfortable. What really stood out was the excellent service, especially from the front desk staff, who were so warm and proactive they made me feel right at home. I was particularly touched when they upgraded my room. There are plenty of great food options nearby, with a night market just downstairs. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, and the service was attentive and friendly. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit the Mountain Resort!

This time I came during the start of the seafood season, but it wasn't peak season yet, so there were far fewer people. The lower floors were cheaper, while the higher-floor sea view rooms were more expensive. Standard rooms were affordable, but those with family-friendly tents or designs cost more. Currently, the first and second canteens are not open, but they will be during peak season. It's less than a ten-minute walk to the beach. Inside the resort, there are individually-owned electric vehicles available for one, two, three, or four people, with different models. The price is a bit high at 69 yuan per hour. However, these are not affiliated with the hotel, so if there are any issues or disputes, the hotel will not intervene. The hotel's front desk and housekeeping staff were very professional; they immediately provided room service even when called late at night. Many thanks!

Traveling solo, I chose The Landy Hotel, and it perfectly matched my aesthetic. The overall design features a simple, natural wood style with no excessive decoration. The room layout felt relaxed and comfortable, and the floor-to-ceiling window framed the garden view like a painting. The outdoor garden is meticulously maintained, with plants thoughtfully arranged and winding paths that make for a wonderfully quiet stroll, far from the hustle and bustle. The room was clean and tidy, the amenities felt high-quality, and the staff were very friendly. I felt incredibly peaceful staying here all day – it’s a great place to unwind and recharge alone. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Aranya.

The environment was great. I specifically requested a king-sized bed for my baby, and they happily accommodated, which made my little one super happy rolling around on it. The hotel also had some activities that captivated my baby's attention. The complimentary cable car tickets were a nice bonus too. It gets a bit chilly in the mountains, so make sure to dress warmly.

During the past few days in Zhangjiakou, the most unforgettable thing is not the passion of the track, but the emotion brought by the front desk. My family sent a box of sports drinks before I left. I made sure to make sure it was delivered on the day of the game. The result was that I, a road ******, filled in the wrong district address. The courier was sorting from the south of the city to a novice post office in the north of the city. Just after the race ended at 4 p.m., the logistics information showed that ”the post office is already at the post office,” but we had to leave for the next city at 5 p.m, and looked at the postoffice address 10 kilometers away on the map, stamping our feet in a hurry. When she heard this, Ms. Park comforted me by saying, ”Don't worry, I'll find a way,” grabbing the keys to her electric car and running out. She returned 20 minutes later, sweating and panting, saying, ”The sorting officers had the wrong zoning area. I went halfway through the warehouse with them to find it!” She thought she could get it now, but she frowned again and said, ”The box is too big to fit in the electric car basket. I'm afraid it will be broken on the road. I'll run around and pack it in the trunk again!” Before I could react, she turned and rushed down the stairs again - the second time she saw her, she had a sweat scarf on her arm, With her hands tightly wrapped around the trunk, even her work shirt was soaked with sweat, but she smiled and said, ”I just borrowed a shock absorber from the post office, and none of the drinks damaged.” When she tore open the packaging, she also purposely put a note on the trunk: ”Remember to replenish electrolytes after the game!” At that moment, I suddenly felt that although the wind of Zhangjiakou was cool with the grassland, but the box of drinks and the smile of my little sister, the trophy of the race course was more heart-warming. When I met such a service in a strange city, I really wanted to share the warmth with everyone! She not only helped us to get the express, but also let me feel the ”heart for heart” service temperature. Next time I come to Zhangjiakou, I will definitely choose this hotel full of human touch.

Pros: The hotel boasts an excellent location, with a variety of restaurants right outside the back door. During my stay, I enjoyed Korean BBQ, regular BBQ, hot pot, and iron pot stew – all delicious! The only minor downsides were the limited vegetable selection and prices being a bit higher than Beijing, but that's typical for mountain areas. The hotel facilities are quite comprehensive: air conditioning, hot water, and soundproofing were all perfect. The pool, gym, and reading room were great spots to pass the time on rainy days. The pool has separate sections for adults and children, and the water isn't too deep. If you go, make sure to bring all your gear! Cons: The breakfast menu remained largely the same for the entire week. The Western options were decent, but the Chinese breakfast was too monotonous. Lunch and dinner were essentially just rebranded breakfast items. Laundry requires purchasing tokens at the front desk, and washing and drying are charged separately at 50 yuan each. Suggestions: Without significantly increasing costs, the menu could definitely be diversified. Given the number of seniors with children staying at the hotel, easy-to-store and transport vegetables like bean sprouts, shredded potatoes, tofu, and tomato with egg could be rotated more often. The sauces for noodles and the porridge options could also be varied. Please, please don't serve the fruits and drinks so cold – my stomach can't handle it!

The room was clean, and the mattress was very soft and comfortable. We got a great deal with a combined ticket for the cable car and the circus for 148, and the hotel even included the cable car ride for free. They also offered a complimentary hot spring experience, which was worth 68 per person. The hot spring had a beautiful setting and scenery, with smooth water and a good variety of unique pools.

This time, I stayed at a B&B within the Azure Coast park. It's just a few minutes' walk to the beach, so the location is absolutely fantastic. With its incredibly long beach, you can take photos, go mudflat exploring, or just relax. It's an all-in-one seaside destination, and the experience was perfect 💯

I booked a suite, and upon arrival, it was upgraded to a two-bedroom apartment. The space was huge, with a sea view and a large terrace. It was quite clean. You could tell the decor was a bit dated and showed its age. Hot water was provided by a water heater, so for three people showering, you had to be quick. If there are more people, I'd suggest booking separate rooms, as there wouldn't be enough hot water. The hotel is very close to the beach, and there's a wash-off area at the entrance to rinse off sand, which is very convenient. They provide some sand toys like buckets, shovels, and clamming tools, on a first-come, first-served basis. There's also an entertainment castle, which isn't very large and tends to have more older kids, so it's not ideal for toddlers under 3. The hotel's restaurant can prepare children's meals without seasoning. Breakfast was also abundant. The local seafood was quite fresh, and steamed dishes were common. Service: Free drinking water is provided. When I called the front desk for something, it was delivered very quickly.
