The hotel boasts an excellent location, modern facilities, and an elegant ambiance, with superb service. The breakfast spread was particularly impressive, and the staff even prepared a special farewell cake and ceremony. My only regret is that all the surfaces in the room were covered in a layer of dust, despite the overall appearance of cleanliness.

I arrived at the hotel lobby at 7 PM and waited to check in, intending to drop off my luggage and go for dinner. After nearly two hours, the staff only offered me a cup of hot chocolate, offering no solutions whatsoever. I kept asking how long it would take to check in, but they never gave me a timeframe. I repeatedly asked the staff, who would say they would look into it, but never provide a response. The room facilities were extremely old.

This is one of the few modern and sophisticated hotels you'll find in Nepal. I booked a room without breakfast because my schedule was uncertain. After arriving and seeing the hotel's condition, I decided to book breakfast for the next day. The international buffet offered a diverse and clean selection of food, and it was delicious. Amidst the chaos and noise of Kathmandu, I had a quiet and clean stay here and left feeling well-rested. The quality was much higher than a 300,000 won hotel in Pokhara.

A most excellent stay at Aloft - great, friendly staff and a location that puts you in the middle of Thamel for shopping or laundry after a trek. I must say that I had one of my best sleep in any hotel at Aloft! Can’t really explain it because I am extremely picky with pillow, room temperature etc. But it just worked so well for me! I will look forward to returning for my next trip back to Nepal!

Nice Old Hotel, Great Staff with few needs to improve. Swimming pool is totally disappointment. Better to shut down, than keep running and not swimmable, waist of energy. The water is dirty, no star at all. The lobby, the room and Ghurka bar are still great. 2 power shutdowns in 1 day, I believe they are struggling with power shortages due to dark lounges. Breakfast was so so, coffee or tea should be not a challenge to serve first, sometimes took half of meal before they come. Many Tables are not stable and aligned, egg can easily roll over to other side. Atleast 3 tables on my experience. Room is comfortable, nice bed and always fresh linen. Only noisy from AC , maintenance team came twice on my room to fix, though transfer was offered on my last 2 days. Managers should not standing in buffet line, either they should help the line staffs or directing the team, talking business in public is not of our guests concern. Front desk Trainee, has good presence, I thought first he is manager. A lot can be improved and polished, the hotel has a great potential, nice design, great facilities and great staffs. I wish that management should look all themselves and review those small details.

This is already one of the top hotels in Nepal, so there's no need to be overly demanding. The service was excellent, the doorman was particularly polite, and you can ask the staff for lattes at breakfast—they were delicious. However, the female chef making waffles in the restaurant seemed to discriminate between Chinese and South Asians; she was very hospitable to South Asians but ignored the Chinese.

We knew the service would be good as soon as we booked, and within hours we received a welcome email, listing the ways we could contact them if we needed to. On the pick up at the airport, they were speedy and efficient and the taxi ride only took us 20 minutes with traffic. As we walked through the door we were blown away by the interior decoration, only then to find that hotel had been a former palace! Historic artifacts and pictures were strewn through the hallways and the outside only matched the royal feel with perfection. We stayed in the royal suite, with a big bed and balcony. The staff were great, the breakfast was standard for off peak times and although the location isn't in the depth of Thamel, the area most will go out for eating and drinking, it was within 30 minutes drive of most landmarks and as it was the ambassedy/ office worker area, there was a nice vibe. There were some things that can't be controlled. The hotel did a good job of providing heat as the weather in February is still chilly. The pollution was real. Especially as you walk nearer the streets, something to think about if you are sensitive to this. Apart from that, It was all really wonderful. Niraj Yadav the receptionist and the team, we thank you dearly.

The hotel service is very professional, the breakfast is rich, and the front desk service is warm and thoughtful. When I asked for water, it was delivered quickly. There is also a hair dryer in the hotel, and the hot water for bathing is very comfortable. Many Chinese people go to other places to find Chinese food, but they find that the most authentic Chinese food is on the ninth floor above the hotel. And the chocolate brownie here is very authentic. It was supposed to be eaten with ice cream, but I asked for hot ice cream, and the hotel immediately made hot ice cream. There is the largest farmer's market in Kathmandu next to the hotel, and 6 big apples cost less than 20 yuan. You can buy all kinds of vegetables and fruits here. Because Kathmandu is often congested, if you connect with a flight, the hotel is very close to the airport, which is another big advantage.

Absolutely amazing... Having a museum hotel like this in Kathmandu makes it feel like a real place... The service, food, and rooms were all superb. Although it's an older hotel, it's truly fantastic! It has culture, history, and faith—and we even got to eat the most traditional Nepali food! The experience and taste were both amazing!

The room and area was good, but I experienced a scam provided by the receptionist. I have consulted the tour advice with the reception, the guy provided me an excellent two-day rafting package that called by a tourist agent. In the tour, that was a disaster, the tour only half-day with 1/3 distance of his presented tour. The cost he charged me is almost 5 times of the normal price in internet. I would prefer that should be a very special tour and different from I found in internet. That was totally scam and waste my time and money, it was extremely affect my plan and mood. I would report this experience to the concerned parties. It really a shame of Nepalese.

There's construction on one side of the hotel, and the old windows don't close properly, so diesel fumes from the crane wafted directly into the bedroom. Not to mention the noise from the building work – imagine driving a car without air conditioning, stuck behind a diesel truck constantly spewing exhaust fumes. The result? A headache that required painkillers. Luckily, Trip.com was great and got me a room change. The mattress is very soft, so if you prefer lumbar support, you should reconsider. The family with kids next door was very noisy, and the front desk promptly moved me to another room. The transportation is very convenient, with the MRT station just a two-minute walk away. The hotel lobby is like an MRT platform, bustling with people – from young to old, student groups to limping seniors, all attending some event. It's the opposite of quiet. If you enjoy crowded fairs, you might like the lively atmosphere. Even checking in took about 10 minutes.

The space was spacious. I like that there are 2 lavatory sink which made things easier for us family to get ready and wash baby bottles. The bench near the window was also a plus, you can even sleep an adult there. Toilet has bidet too. No toothbrush or toothpaste provided so bring your own. There’s also play area for kids, gym and pool. Its few mins walk from the subway but you need umbrella if it rains. Great stay we like it! Its hard to find 3 beds room in taipei with affordable price. This is one stn away from ximen stn. We also had a nice view of the city.

The hotel's location is a bit average; there aren't many shops nearby downstairs, so you have to walk a bit. It's right by a main road, but luckily the soundproofing is quite good. The room isn't very big, a twin room, and the beds are a bit small. There's also no luggage rack in the room, which is inconvenient – I was hesitant to put my luggage on the carpet fearing it might be unclean, and putting it by the door would block the way. I didn't use any other facilities, only had breakfast, which was decent. Luggage storage was also very convenient.

Next time I'm in Taipei, I'd love to stay at the Grand Hotel again! I particularly enjoy hotels with a rich history, and the Grand Hotel was the perfect choice in Taipei. We stayed in the Kirin Hall in the back building, and they provided a dedicated car to take us there, even helping with our luggage throughout the journey – truly excellent! The Kirin Hall rooms offer direct views of Taipei 101, which was fantastic. The hotel also has two secret tunnels that guests can tour, and since we stayed for a week, we got to see both, which I really enjoyed. A huge convenience is the free shuttle service; besides the regular shuttle to Yuanshan Station, they also offer a weekend service to Jiantan Station. The only minor improvement I'd suggest is for the housekeeping to be a bit more meticulous (it's already very good, but sometimes I noticed a few hairs that weren't cleaned). Overall, it was an excellent stay, and I'll definitely be back!

The environment is great, with a mall downstairs that houses several major brands – perfect for a rainy day. The surrounding area is also very convenient, with plenty of places for a walk. Ningxia Night Market is within walking distance, not too far at all. Service and cleanliness are excellent. The front desk lady who checked me in was Japanese and spoke Mandarin; she was friendly and patient. The bellboy was also very polite, proactively helping us with our luggage and very chatty. I had left a note requesting a firm pillow, and housekeeping brought it to me the very next day, which was fantastic. However, the facilities are really hard to rate... The hotel is quite old. My room was on the top floor and lacked the desk and chair shown in the pictures, as well as the shelf under the TV that could be used for storage. On the top floor, there was an intermittent low-frequency noise during the day, whether from the air conditioning or something else, which was quite uncomfortable. Fortunately, it wasn't there at night when I was sleeping. I don't think the room facilities are up to five-star standards, but the service and breakfast were still excellent. Please consider this when booking. (Attached picture shows the view from the room window)

Great service and location, but an absolute nightmare of a stay Rating: 1/5 I booked this hotel for a one-night trip to Taipei for a concert—just me, alone, excited to see my idol. Unfortunately, the stay itself was a total nightmare. Let me start with the positives: the service is excellent—knowledgeable, quick, and polite. The location is also perfect, with a direct path from the Taipei MRT station to the hotel, and you can reach Taoyuan Airport in under an hour. There's even a water machine in the corridor, which was handy for getting hot water. But that's where the good ends. The hotel is shockingly old—worse than any dilapidated hotel in Hong Kong at a third of the price. For what I paid, I did not expect this level of neglect. I couldn't book a single or double room, so they gave me a room with three beds. I lay down on the first bed furthest from the window and soon felt itchy—I suspect bed lice. The other two beds near the window seemed fine, but that's already unacceptable. And the blankets were so thin I felt completely insecure—like there was nothing protecting me. The bathroom was a disaster. Hair on the wall, a small dark spot in the bathtub, and no hairdryer. The toilet barely flushed—I had to press the button multiple times, and the toilet paper just wouldn't go away. As for the shower—I've never seen anything like this in 40 years of traveling. Not even in mainland China hotels I visited as a kid with my grandparents. The knob was super loose and barely functional. Turning it to the hot water side did nothing—no water came out. Slightly turning the other way (still on the red hot side) gave only cold water. I could not get hot water at all. At breakfast, I overheard Japanese ladies complaining about the exact same issue. Unbelievable. There were also zero amenities. They hide behind ”eco-friendly,” but in Japan, you can still ask for supplies. Here, I didn't even have tissue paper in the room—I had to go back to the toilet to get toilet paper. I couldn't take a proper shower. I feel so dirty and uncomfortable. Truly a nightmare. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

The Hollywood King Room had a really big and comfortable bed! We stayed for three nights. The toilet was a TOTO, and the wet/dry separation was a big plus! The hotel's location is super convenient, very close to Ximending Pedestrian Area. The only issue was on the first night, we had no cell signal, which led us to take a wrong turn after exiting the subway. The closest subway exit is the Underground Street - X6, and exit X5 has an escalator. We ended up having to take a taxi. The hotel's name is also hard to spot at night. The location is incredibly convenient, right within Ximending, and just about a 1-minute walk from MRT Exit 6. There are tons of restaurants nearby, and right across the street is Fong Da Coffee, which offers delicious and affordable breakfast – highly recommended. Most daily necessities are provided, but they don't supply toothbrushes, so you'll need to bring your own. The only minor drawback is the small bathroom space. The toilet and shower are separate, but they share a single door, meaning you can't use both at the same time. The sink area is also quite small, making it a bit difficult to close the door properly. We just returned to the Philippines after a wonderful 10-day stay at Finders Hotel Qufian, and we truly couldn’t be happier with our experience. We came in not expecting much, but this hotel completely exceeded our expectations. The staff were consistently friendly, helpful, and made both check-in and check-out smooth and easy. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. We absolutely loved the ambience of the hotel, everything was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully designed, especially for families. Traveling with a child can sometimes be challenging, but this place had everything we needed. The kids’ playroom was a highlight, our daughter loved it so much and genuinely enjoyed every moment of our stay. The room, while not very large, was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The temperature and heating were just right, making it very relaxing after long days of exploring. The bed is more of a typical Asian-style mattress (not super soft), but it was perfectly fine for us and didn’t affect our comfort. Breakfast was consistently excellent. We especially enjoyed the Chinese cuisine selection, and the unlimited beverages, coffee, snacks, and even noodles were such a thoughtful touch, perfect for those late-night cravings! The WiFi was fast and reliable, which was important for me as I had online meetings and even did some Netflix streaming without any issues. Location-wise, it’s fantastic, close to many of Taipei’s must-see attractions like Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, National Taiwan Museum, and 228 Peace Memorial Park (which we absolutely loved). It’s also conveniently near NTU Hospital Station, making it easy to get around the city. This is a hotel I would highly recommend, especially for families traveling with kids. In fact, I’ve already recommended it to friends! We will definitely be booking here again on our next trip to Taiwan.

We stayed on the executive floor, one-bedroom suite with lounge access and were extremely disappointed by the service quality. Housekeeping was far below 5‑star standards — our bedsheets were never changed once during our 6‑day stay, and even the daily bed‑making was sloppy and careless. The executive lounge experience was equally poor. We stood at the counter waiting to be checked in while three staff members were present. Only one was serving a western guest; the other two completely ignored us. After waiting several minutes with a toddler, we walked in to find a seat first. A staff member then approached us impatiently, telling us we “should have waited outside,” despite the fact that they had ignored us the entire time. The attitude was unprofessional and unwelcoming. For a hotel that markets itself as 5‑star and charges premium rates, the service and attention to detail were nowhere near acceptable.

The room was clean and well-equipped with everything we needed. The location is also great—not right in the middle of Ximending, but slightly away from the busy area, so it’s quieter and more relaxing. Overall, a very pleasant stay!

The hotel service was excellent; they even surprised my daughter with a small cake for her birthday upon check-in! 👍🏻 The location is fantastic, a quiet spot that's still bustling. It's just a 5-minute walk from the subway station. 🤠 There are all sorts of restaurants nearby and 24-hour convenience stores, which is super convenient. The front desk can even heat up your takeout food for free and then have a robot deliver it to your room – very thoughtful! 👍🏻 For breakfast, they credit ********* dollars directly to your phone, which is really handy. You can redeem it anytime at the Starbucks in the lobby (the bread and coffee are both amazing!). Any leftover credit can be exchanged for cookies, egg rolls, or other snacks to take with you, which is very 👍🏻. I'll definitely stay here again if I get the chance. 🙂

everything else was impeccable, except that the breakfast was rather ordinary. It consisted mainly of standard bread (no croissants), Chinese-style meat buns, siu mai, plain steamed buns, freshly fried eggs, noodles, a very fatty beef soup, braised minced pork rice, congee, salad, and similar items. As it was ***** New Year’s Eve and the first day of the ***** New Year, I had expected some festive dishes, but was quite disappointed. Next time, I would try a hotel without breakfast included. In addition, they provide afternoon tea every day at 3 p.m., with three pieces of dessert (egg tarts...) per person complimentary, but all of them are sweet.

The Howard Plaza Hotel has an excellent location, very close to Daan Forest Park and Zhongxiao Fuxing MRT Station. The surrounding area has a full range of amenities and is very safe. The staff are attentive and friendly. As an older hotel, the facilities are a bit dated, and the room decor has a classic, slightly old-fashioned feel, but all of this is perfectly acceptable. The only downside was that the room number sign on my floor (I think it was the 6th floor, facing Ren'ai Road) seemed to be incorrect, directing me in the wrong direction from the elevator. I walked all the way to the end of the hall and couldn't find my room, so I had to turn back and eventually found it in the opposite direction. It was a bit frustrating. I hope they can fix that sign.

This Hotel is a perfect choice, rooms are very spacious, bathroom is huge, location is great, it's close and easy to walk to Zongshan MRT station and this area has lots of great retail stores and restaurants , Taipei main station is walk-able around 1.2Km but if you are tired you will take a taxi, very convenient to take the express MRT from airport to Taipei main station in 35 minutes, there is a big supermarket right next to the hotel having very good stuff, there are a lot of 7 eleven and family mart stores around you, if you are a gym guy there are lots of 24h gyms near the hotel...also there is a 24h self service laundry store in front of the hotel....breakfast is great, I'm a egg lover guy and they serve perfect scrambled eggs, they also serve pineapples, passion fruit, home made yogurt and lots of good stuff, they have some Chinese items that you may not like, overall their breakfast is perfect....you can enjoy 24h free freshly brewed coffee at their lobby whenever you want and it's great....the only downside I noticed in their rooms is the lake of power outlets, there is only one row of power outlets on the front desk of the room, there are no outlets beside your bed or any where else which was really uncomfortable if you would like to charge your mobile or laptop while sitting on the bed.....sorry for my long review but I just enjoyed my stay there and wanted to share my experience in details

The room's cleanliness was decent, and the service was good. You can self check-in, and there's a common area where you can sit and use your laptop. I booked a standard room, and the space was alright. However, the main window faced the street, which was a night market, so the noise from traffic at night was very loud and affected my sleep. The hotel breakfast was pretty good.

The location of the Hotel isn't that convenient to go to, so it's recommend to look at their shuttle bus timing or simply book an Uber to ride up the hill. Each room that you book also comes with a 1x free visit to the outdoor Spa facilities so I highly suggest you to bring a swim wear to go as it's pretty good even at night time. As for the room it's spacious like other reviews photos have shown but not a lot of people have shown the bathroom/toilet so I'm including it here. It's a very spacious Toilet with the bathtub that has the Onsen water, and the shower head beside the bathtub.
