Clean. Nice selection of breakfast. The concierge was professional and helpful. The valet staff was very helpful with the taxis. The reception desk staff was not quite familiar with his work. 1. Couldn’t find my booking. 2. Miscalculated the number of nights to stay 3. Didn’t realize the room was prepaid and was going to charge again. But he acknowledged his mistakes.

Good points: 1) It's close, about a 15-minute taxi ride from the airport. 2) You can also reach Durbar Square in about 20 minutes on foot. 3) The facility has a large garden and has a nice atmosphere; Bad points: 1) The facility is old (the rooms have been nicely renovated, but the windows facing the courtyard are wooden frames and not tightly spaced, so in winter the cold wind comes in and the birds are noisy from early in the morning; 2) The water pressure in the bath is low and the temperature is also low; 3) I stayed on the lounge floor, but the lounge facilities (sofas, etc.) that were originally on the 4th floor are currently unused and left abandoned, and it seemed like the guest was only given the right to have a snack at the bar on the first floor once. There was no explanation of the lounge, and I hope trip.com will investigate this further and provide more details.

I stayed at Hyatt Centric Kathmandu and was pleasantly surprised — the room was actually better than in the photos! Spacious, clean, and beautifully designed, with stunning views of the mountains, the city, and even the Monkey Temple. Definitely a highlight of the stay. The rooftop pool was decent, not too crowded and with a nice ambiance. I also ordered room service once — the food was just okay, and the breakfast was a bit underwhelming, especially for a Hyatt. The selection was quite limited for this brand's usual standard. One downside was my arrival experience. I came down from a taxi and noticed there were no bellboys or concierge staff outside to help with my luggage — maybe due to a staff shortage? Only once I approached the lobby did a staff member assist me and take my bags to the room. Thankfully, check-in itself was smooth and fast, and I appreciated being allowed to enter my room before the standard 2 PM check-in time. The welcome drink was also a nice touch. All in all, the room and view were excellent — probably the best part of this Hyatt. Just a bit more attention to guest arrival and food variety would make the experience even better.

A most excellent stay at Aloft - great, friendly staff and a location that puts you in the middle of Thamel for shopping or laundry after a trek. I must say that I had one of my best sleep in any hotel at Aloft! Can’t really explain it because I am extremely picky with pillow, room temperature etc. But it just worked so well for me! I will look forward to returning for my next trip back to Nepal!

This is already one of the top hotels in Nepal, so there's no need to be overly demanding. The service was excellent, the doorman was particularly polite, and you can ask the staff for lattes at breakfast—they were delicious. However, the female chef making waffles in the restaurant seemed to discriminate between Chinese and South Asians; she was very hospitable to South Asians but ignored the Chinese.

We knew the service would be good as soon as we booked, and within hours we received a welcome email, listing the ways we could contact them if we needed to. On the pick up at the airport, they were speedy and efficient and the taxi ride only took us 20 minutes with traffic. As we walked through the door we were blown away by the interior decoration, only then to find that hotel had been a former palace! Historic artifacts and pictures were strewn through the hallways and the outside only matched the royal feel with perfection. We stayed in the royal suite, with a big bed and balcony. The staff were great, the breakfast was standard for off peak times and although the location isn't in the depth of Thamel, the area most will go out for eating and drinking, it was within 30 minutes drive of most landmarks and as it was the ambassedy/ office worker area, there was a nice vibe. There were some things that can't be controlled. The hotel did a good job of providing heat as the weather in February is still chilly. The pollution was real. Especially as you walk nearer the streets, something to think about if you are sensitive to this. Apart from that, It was all really wonderful. Niraj Yadav the receptionist and the team, we thank you dearly.

The hotel service is very professional, the breakfast is rich, and the front desk service is warm and thoughtful. When I asked for water, it was delivered quickly. There is also a hair dryer in the hotel, and the hot water for bathing is very comfortable. Many Chinese people go to other places to find Chinese food, but they find that the most authentic Chinese food is on the ninth floor above the hotel. And the chocolate brownie here is very authentic. It was supposed to be eaten with ice cream, but I asked for hot ice cream, and the hotel immediately made hot ice cream. There is the largest farmer's market in Kathmandu next to the hotel, and 6 big apples cost less than 20 yuan. You can buy all kinds of vegetables and fruits here. Because Kathmandu is often congested, if you connect with a flight, the hotel is very close to the airport, which is another big advantage.

The hotel is about a 20-minute walk from the heart of Thamel, which is a good distance – not too far, not too close. It's perfect for a stroll back after dinner. However, there are relatively fewer supermarkets and restaurants within a 200m radius. The hotel's security is excellent. Both vehicles and pedestrians need to pass through a main gate to enter. The lobby is also staffed 24 hours a day, with someone always there to open the door. I felt very safe walking back alone even at 1 AM. The hotel service was good, and communication was smooth. It's especially worth noting that the front desk can help arrange taxis. They'll use local ride-hailing apps to get you a local cab at a very reasonable price. For example, a ride from the hotel to the airport only cost about 500 NPR. When I tried to book a taxi myself, drivers almost always started quoting prices from 1200 NPR. On the other hand, the room facilities are fairly basic. If you're expecting a four-star standard, it might fall slightly short. The breakfast was plentiful, offering local fruits and freshly made omelets. Overall, the experience exceeded expectations for the price.

The hotel is clean and hygienic, and I have met some friends who have lived there for a long time. The fried cauliflower for breakfast is better than fried chicken. I admire the chef's cooking skills. The guy at the front desk of the hotel can speak Japanese, and he can switch communication when English gets stuck. The Stuff I met greeted me with a smile, very nice.

It is located in Thamel district of Kathmandu, Nepal. The entrance is hard to find as it is down a narrow alley, but all the taxi drivers I used during my stay knew the location. The breakfast venue was crowded because I used it during the year-end and New Year holidays, but other than that I was able to have a relaxing breakfast. It's very convenient as you can walk to a busy street in about 5 minutes. I am satisfied because the room was clean and the cleaning was done properly.

The room and area was good, but I experienced a scam provided by the receptionist. I have consulted the tour advice with the reception, the guy provided me an excellent two-day rafting package that called by a tourist agent. In the tour, that was a disaster, the tour only half-day with 1/3 distance of his presented tour. The cost he charged me is almost 5 times of the normal price in internet. I would prefer that should be a very special tour and different from I found in internet. That was totally scam and waste my time and money, it was extremely affect my plan and mood. I would report this experience to the concerned parties. It really a shame of Nepalese.

Pleasant stay with great location, but bathroom needs improvement We stayed here for a few nights and overall had a pleasant experience. The hotel is in a very good location, just a short walk to the Thamel area, so it was easy to explore without needing taxis. The room was clean, and the breakfast buffet had complete selections, with some dishes rotating daily. However, we did encounter an issue with the bathroom floor. The tiles in the bathroom were the same as those in the bedroom area, and as a result, the floor became extremely slippery when wet. My wife even slipped once while taking a shower. It would be much safer if the hotel installed proper bathroom flooring. The toilet spray was also positioned awkwardly on the left side, and the toilet seat felt loose, which affected comfort. Our original king room wasn’t ready at the 2 PM check-in time, but the staff offered us the option to check in immediately with a twin room, which we accepted. Throughout our stay, the staff were friendly and very helpful. When my wife requested help to switch the air-conditioner to heater mode, they sent someone right away and even provided an extra portable heater, which we really appreciated. We were granted a late check-out until 2 PM, and because our flight was late at night, we extended the stay until 6:30 PM for an additional USD 30+. This was convenient for us. Overall, it was a pleasant stay with great staff and location. The only major area that needs attention is the bathroom design and safety, which should be improved for better comfort.

🏔️ Hotel Nepalaya is a perfect experience! I fell in love with it as soon as I walked in - quiet, clean, and full of Nepalese style. The location is super convenient, and you can walk to the downtown of Thamel, but the hotel is like a paradise. 🛏️ The room is super comfortable - Traditional Newar style, beautiful wooden windows - The bed is super soft, the bathroom is spacious, and there is plenty of hot water (so rare in Kathmandu!) - Every day when I wake up, I can see the sun pouring in through the curtains 🍛 The food is so delicious! - The rooftop restaurant has a great view, and the masala milk tea and fresh fruits for breakfast are amazing - Dal Bhat (bean soup rice) is authentic and cheap 💖 The service is so warm that it makes me cry - The staff's smile is super healing and they are always ready to help - Free hot packs, help contact tour guides, and give small gifts before leaving ⚠️ The only drawback: I don’t want to leave after moving in! Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (must be five stars!) Suitable for: travelers who want value for money + unique experience Next time I come to Kathmandu, I will definitely stay here again! 🌸

The stay was great, to say the least. We actually decided to extend our as our plans changed and looked no further. The staff were very flexible with our late night flight and the ensuing late check-out and assisted us price-wiae. The hotel is truly a boutique one. Breakfast is nice. We didn't need much anyway, so for us, it was much more than we needed. There is a slight variation on a daily basis. The cleaning lady cleans the room impeccably on a daily basis. In general, if you need anything, the staff are accommodating and always ready to help. Locatio- wise, the hotel is somewhat further away from the noise of Thamel and other touristy areas but close enough to places of interest. Last but not least, we arrived later than scheduled, so the meet and greet service , which came free, was super handy.

I stayed for 4 nights on a business trip. Enter the path from the road around the Royal Palace and reach the hotel. Breakfast is a form of asking for what you like from the menu table, from a la carte to an American breakfast set. You can also choose a variety of coffee and tea drinks, * dishes, etc. The room feels a bit old, but it was well cleaned and comfortable. From the window, I could see the mountain 々 surrounding the Kathmandu basin in the distance of the idyllic scenery of the neighboring house 々. Everyone at the inn was friendly and very comfortable. Thank you very much.

My overall stay at this hotel was very good. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-prepared, and the staff were generally friendly and welcoming. Facilities met expectations and most aspects of the stay were enjoyable. However, I did experience a major disturbance during the night due to construction work happening around midnight. It woke me up, and I had to call twice before the noise finally stopped. For future guests, I strongly suggest ensuring that no construction or maintenance work is carried out during sleeping hours, especially when guests are in adjacent rooms. Aside from this incident, everything else was excellent, and I would still consider staying here again.
