A beautiful room but experienced a number of disappointments.
Hotel guests must pay a supplement daily charge to use the swimming pools AND book at designated time slot. I have NEVER experienced this at any hotel anywhere in the world. I was in a premium room, but this policy applies to all guests, which I think is awful. It was also impossible to get a spa appointment during my stay. Zero preference given to hotel guests. I strongly suggest you book spa treatments at least a week in advance of your arrival. Also, there is no turndown service, unusual for a highly priced 5* hotel. Housekeeping also finishes very early, or isn’t interested in guests who don’t align with their schedule. I had to work in my room but left at 2:45pm and it was not cleaned despite signalling the room needed making up. The reception team were polite, but chaotic. First time staying in a Radisson property. Shower in bathtub and there was no anti-slip mat provided. Getting out of the tub each time is a huge challenge: the moving glass divider is not a good thing to hold on to. Getting out of the tub has only a small area to land with 2 sharp edges of the basin facing you.
As a Radisson Premium, I got upgraded to a ‘Family Room’ with basically an extra bed setup. Its hilarious as there’s two of us, what good does the bed do for us? Upgrade is totally meaningless!
They dont provide slippers and gave me all sorts of cock and bull that it used to be provided for each room but Management changed their decision 2 months ago. I asked for it and was declined. Breakfast was average after having exprienced Clarion The Hub. TV Remote offers Netflix but when I clicked on it, it says Netflix is not available. Called Front Desk and they told me they will try to fix it on their end, and if not possible, will send a technician up. I have checked out after 3 nights and still no technician cane.
There is a massive construction opposite the Hotel: a building being destroyed so noise and air pollution greet you daily.
Location is walking distance to Oslo Central Station, 10 minutes walk to Munch Museum.
Service from all Staff is nothing worth mentioning. Staff are all simply functional: my first and last time staying in a Radisson Property. They can remove my Premium status for all I care.

Small compact room but sufficient. Kettle and steam iron available in the room which are very useful. The room is too cold for me though, I think it is around 20-21degC, I tried to adjust temperature to be warmer to 24degC but it was not possible. The location is fantastic. The hotel provides for basic facilities. Breakfast can be pre-booked. But it lacks some basic amenties:
1. It lacks a telephone in each room. How are we to reach out to the reception in case of any support ?
2. Majority of travellers from Asia will not carry things like electric plugs (Norway has a typical plug ). So the only way is to now purchase it from a shop. Even that is fine, if you reach the hotel at an odd hour then we will have to wait for the shop to open to purchase the connector/plug.
3. TV channels lack basic english channels. Nowadays satellite channels are cheap atleast connect the TVs to the internet for streaming youtube.
4. Rooms have hangers but lack cupboards.

It is within walking distance to the central train station (Oslo) and it was a short walk to the nearby Christmas market. We walked past the shopping street (Karl Johan) that led us to the Christmas market.
The staff were polite and helpful. We can communicate easily in English. I love that it is a short walk to the Promenade (walking past Oslo Stock Exchange). It is near to the Opera House and the Munch Gallery/Museum.

I had a very satisfying stay here, with a rich breakfast and excellent service.
Location: It's near Bergen Central Station, with moderate distances to major transportation and attractions. If you exit the north side gate of the central station, it's right in front of you. The south side of the station is for the airport light rail. It's about a ten-minute walk to the bus terminal, and only fifteen to twenty minutes on foot to the cruise port. All transportation is very convenient.
Cleanliness: You generally don't need to worry about cleanliness in Nordic countries, and the room was very clean. However, please note that room cleaning is on request, and you need to inform the front desk a day in advance. Also, trash needs to be taken to the front desk yourself or you can ask them to clear it. A slight inconvenience.
Environment: The room size was decent, much more comfortable than what you'd find in Japan. However, in October, the room temperature was a bit cold, and it rains a lot in Bergen, so I had to ask staff for an electric heater. (P.S.: The panel in the room is not for air conditioning or heating; it's just a temperature monitor).
Also worth mentioning is the breakfast; it was incredibly abundant, and the variety was good. You could eat different things for two days without repetition. In Norway, this breakfast was the best meal I had every day 😂. If you're catching a flight, you can ask the kitchen to prepare a takeaway, but it's limited to one sandwich and one apple.
Service: Very thoughtful and attentive. The front desk is 24/7 and they were very responsive to all requests. Full marks for service!

My 2nd stays when visit Bergen on October 2022 and April 2023 both visit are for 3 nights each stays. I love Thon hotel because the breakfast was amazing, so many varieties of food and delicious. The room is very nice and clean and comfortable beds. Shower room is nice and the adjustment of the water is perfect. I love the chocolate they serve in ours first check in. Delicious. Parking is not free but easy access. It was the most interesting hotel in my itinerary. Haha, it looks like it's been years.
The location is easy to find. It is just two intersections from Bergen train station. The houses on the side of the road have house numbers on the walls. You can see where you are at a glance. The wall on the right hand side of the door is a full-length password box. The hotel will send an email to Ctrip in advance to inform the room of the corresponding password box password. Turn on the password to get the key card. Like playing the decryption card, this card is used to open the door and the door of the room. When checking out, just put the card back in the box and close it, and you can scramble the password.
I booked a double room by myself and went in to find three single beds. However, this hotel also has an induction cooker, a microwave oven, a kettle and a bunch of kitchen utensils. You can make your own meals, but you must remember to turn on the range hood. Other facilities are quite complete.
The hotel elevator is also very interesting. If you want to take the elevator, you must press and hold the elevator for a long time. Otherwise, the elevator will not respond if you only release it by pressing it.
