My week-long trip to Hohhot included five nights at the Weilai Hotel (with a short stay at the grasslands in between), and overall, I had a good experience. First off, its location is excellent, right in the bustling city center, adjacent to Metro Lines 1 and 2. There are plenty of shops, supermarkets, and restaurants nearby (I especially recommend Deshunyuan right next to the hotel), making it super convenient to reach many of Hohhot's landmarks. The rooms feature smart home controls, are spacious with great natural light, and come with comfortable bedding and a screen-casting TV. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, and the hotel was clean and tidy. They offer robot service, a free parking lot, and convenient facilities like a gym and laundry/drying services. The buffet breakfast has a wide variety of options and tastes great, including local specialties such as shaomai, lamb offal soup, and Mongolian milk tea. In conclusion, whether for a business trip or a leisure vacation, Weilai Hotel is a fantastic value-for-money choice in Hohhot. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit! I had a pleasant stay at this place. The rooms and facilities were very clean, and the manager was exceptionally kind and welcoming. The service was also friendly and attentive. Although the breakfast selection was somewhat limited, the food was tasty and enjoyable. Another thing I appreciated was that the hotel was not overcrowded, which made the atmosphere quiet and relaxing. Overall, I had a very good experience and would be happy to stay here again. The hotel boasts high-end decor and excellent cleanliness, with a superb location right by the racecourse. It feels grand and impressive. However, my stay wasn't as comfortable as I'd hoped. First, my room was quite a trek from the lobby, easily 50-60 meters away. Second, the pillows were all incredibly high; all four provided were the same, offering no softer alternative, which led to a restless night. Third, the toilet wasn't smart, and the toilet paper holder was awkwardly placed behind it, feeling a bit outdated. Fourth, the staff seemed accustomed to serving VIPs; for regular guests like us, they were rather cold and unresponsive. They'd only answer direct questions, and when I asked about breakfast, they didn't volunteer information about the hours or where it was served, which almost caused me to miss it. Most hotels serve until 10 AM, but here it's 9:30 AM.

Cleanliness: Even though it's an older, established Chinese brand hotel, the cleanliness has always been exceptionally well-maintained. The room was full of thoughtful touches; as soon as I entered, I noticed the turndown service with milk 🥛, which immediately made a great impression. Service: The service was exceptionally gentle and friendly, truly making guests feel at home. When the security staff needed to move my car, they were also very polite and courteous, not making me feel uncomfortable at all. This hotel truly exceeded my expectations. Next time I'm in Hohhot, I'll definitely stay here again!

Sheyi Tea Culture hotel was an amazing stay, definitely a must stay if visiting Hohhot! Food & Drink 🫖 This hotel is also a tea house and it is a tea drinker’s dream! First the room a booked came with my own tea brewing equipment and a tea brewing table with an excellent view and comfortable seats! But that is just the beginning, as you head down to the main floor a fully stocked, beautiful tea house & cafe awaits you. Daily tea and even delicious milk tea is always available. Private table sets and outdoor seating is available too. The tea masters are skilled and attentive, which made all my tea drinking experiences fun and enjoyable! You can also purchase various tea and tea ware right in the tea house. Location 📍 This hotel is perfectly located close to the near by Ancient Street, with many close by temples and shrines to visit. A craft street is close by and available all day, while a famous local food street opens up for colourful night time snacking in the evening. Many close by restaurants offering authentic local cuisine, I recommend reading the hotel’s recommendations as they were always great. If you need even more tea experience, there is a nearby tea wholesale market and many high end tea house in the area as well. The Room 🛌 The room I stayed in had lots of space, was very clean and had everything you could need to feel comfortable. Daily bathroom necessities are provided. High quality bedding, robes and slippers are waiting for you. High end bathroom equipment is installed, with hot water always available. Premium television is set up and Wifi connection always had high speeds. A beautiful kettle and tea set can be used to make tea with daily water and a welcome tea package provided. Staff 👩⚕️ The staff were very king and helpful right from check in. Actually even before check in they were helping bring my luggage inside! They were patient with communication as I was a foreign visitor. They answered any and all questions I had. They recommended great tea and amazing restaurants! The staff were always available and always smiling! Such great people really made my stay a dream. This was probably the nicest hotel I have stayed in and I definitely would recommend it to anyone visiting Hohhot! I will be back again for sure.

This was my first time staying in a family room, and as soon as I walked in, I felt the layout was very convenient. The front desk lady checked me in quickly and gave clear directions when I asked how to get around. It was also easy to get a taxi from here or go to the East Station 🙂 The room was comfortable to stay in. The bedding was neatly made, felt very soft to the touch, and both the pillows and duvet were clean and dry. I slept really well at night, and the soundproofing was good too; outside noises barely bothered me at all 😌 The gym was a pleasant surprise. It was clean and bright, and the equipment was sufficient for a daily workout. It was very convenient to go and get some exercise after a long journey, and it didn't feel stuffy in there 🏋️ The breakfast variety was richer than I expected, with both hot and cold options, all tasty. Overall, my stay was very hassle-free, suitable for family trips or an overnight stopover 😊

The location is fantastic, very close to all the nearby attractions, and within walking distance. It's right next to 'Shaomai Street' and Jokhang Temple. The front desk staff are all really welcoming and helpful, and the self-service coffee is a nice touch! They even gave our child a breakfast voucher. 😊😊 I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time.

The hotel is in a good location, just over 10 minutes' walk to Wanda, with many choices for food. Downstairs is the hotel's own parking lot 🅿, which is convenient for parking. The facilities of a newly opened hotel are relatively new, and there is almost no taste. There are many varieties of breakfast. The yam, sweet potato, and corn that I like are all gathered together. I can't eat too much. I cooked wontons and cooked half a portion. The kitchen lady also kindly told me how many half portions there were and asked if it was enough. ~ Good reviews ~ The laundry room is open all day without limit. The overall stay was not bad. I will book again next time

The room was clean and tidy, with a modern and minimalist decor. The surrounding area has convenient transportation, with both bus and subway stations within walking distance. The front desk staff had an excellent and patient service attitude. I'm a returning guest and highly recommend this place.

Staying at the Shangri-La Hohhot was much better than I expected. The hotel's age doesn't show at all; all facilities are updated and feel brand new. Both the rooms and public areas are impeccably clean. The location is right in the city center, with Qingcheng Park and MixC (The MixC Shopping Mall) just a stone's throw away, and other attractions are also easily accessible, which is very convenient. I loved the room's view. During my two-day stay, both the front desk and room service staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and thoughtful, making me feel right at home. The Horizon Club benefits, including the afternoon tea and evening light meals, are definitely worth trying; I really enjoyed chatting with the ladies serving there. The breakfast spread is rich and of excellent quality. Besides the regular buffet, they also offer famous local shaomai and authentic Mongolian dishes, which I highly recommend.
