Extremely satisfied with my Sanya trip experience! I've been to Sanya probably over 10 times, and this was my first time staying at a hotel not by the sea. It felt quite different. Overall rating: Worth staying. I'd give it 4.5 stars or more. 1) My favorite part was the heaven cliff pool – the view is unbeatable. Swimming here is simply one of life's greatest pleasures. 2) The hotel's buggy service was incredibly responsive, and the staff's attitude was excellent. 3) During the off-peak season, there weren't many guests, but the breakfast maintained a good standard and wasn't skimped on. 4) The Thai restaurant boasts charming views. Although the prices are a bit on the high side, the mesmerizing scenery and live music make it well worth it. 5) The complimentary tropical rainforest park tour offered by the hotel exceeded my expectations. The guide was enthusiastic and helped with photos. 6) The only thing is that since the hotel is located in a tropical rainforest, insects and geckos are inevitable. I even saw a small snake on the balcony. So, it's crucial to keep doors and windows closed at all times and bring your own mosquito repellent. 7) It's been open for a while, and some rooms are currently undergoing maintenance. Overall, it's well-maintained.

For my Sanya trip, I chose to stay at the Yalong Bay Welcome Hotel, directly opposite Baihua Valley. First and foremost, I absolutely *must* commend our dedicated butler, Gina! Before our arrival, when discussing room preferences, I specifically requested a high-floor, non-smoking room in the West Wing with a lake view. Gina patiently reviewed my booking details and went above and beyond to accommodate all my requests, communicating every step of the way with thoughtful precision. Throughout our stay, she was incredibly responsive to all our needs, big or small: when we needed an office chair, she arranged for one to be delivered immediately; when there was a drainage issue in the bathroom, she promptly arranged for maintenance; and when the pillows weren't comfortable, she quickly provided suitable buckwheat pillows. She meticulously followed up on daily housekeeping, linen changes, and even helped adjust our room type for an extended stay. Whenever an issue arose, Gina handled it with humility, proactively apologized, and resolved it promptly. Communication was seamless, and she never tried to deflect. From coordinating our room before check-in to handling various unexpected minor issues during our stay, she was on top of everything, always willing to help. Her professional and attentive service smoothed over many potential headaches. I am incredibly grateful for Gina's thoughtful assistance throughout our trip. Having such a responsible butler significantly enhanced our holiday experience. My husband even said he'd choose Yalong Bay Welcome Hotel again next time. Firstly, because the pool-view family suite is genuinely superb and spacious enough for a family of four (the only minor drawback was dim lighting for homework, but Gina quickly resolved this by sending a desk lamp). Secondly, because the butler is truly accommodating – on our last day, she even proactively offered a late check-out. I highly recommend asking for Gina if you stay at this hotel! Additionally, a shout-out to the hotel's shuttle service: it was quick to arrive, helped with luggage, and provided service via WeChat. The pool also hosts bubble parties every Tuesday and Thursday, which the kids absolutely loved. The number of lifeguards at the pool was impressive, with coverage at every corner and angle, and they were all incredibly responsible and attentive – even the waterslide had a dedicated lifeguard, which was very reassuring! Finally, I have to praise the supermarket located to the right of the hotel lobby. It completely shattered my stereotype that hotel convenience stores are always overpriced. A fragrant coconut was only 10 yuan! Regular coconuts were just 5 yuan! And the fragrant coconuts were incredibly delicious, as were the green mangoes 😋. They even offered delivery to our room and by the pool – truly excellent value for money!

My stay at Wanda Vista Sanya Haitang Bay was absolutely perfect! The hotel's tropical gardens are serene and elegant, offering direct oceanfront views in a peaceful and relaxing environment. The location is excellent, just a short walk to the beach, and very convenient for getting to the duty-free shop. The restaurant offers a wide variety of delicious dishes made with fresh ingredients. Ella was incredibly responsive, thoughtful, and attentive, quickly resolving all my needs. Overall, the value for money is exceptional, and the vacation experience was outstanding. I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Sanya!

Having experienced the InterContinental Sanya Haitang Bay, and considering our itinerary, I decided to try the InterContinental Sanya Haitang Bay. The day before our check-in, Kaylee from guest relations proactively contacted me to confirm the details and made thoughtful arrangements for us. 👍 On the day of our check-in, it was pouring rain in Haitang Bay. We were stuck with our luggage in the duty-free shop, watching the rain show no signs of stopping. I contacted Kaylee to ask if the hotel could send someone to pick us up. Kaylee informed me that the hotel didn't have vehicles that could go to the duty-free shop. However, the hotel staff later sent umbrellas for us, helped us move our luggage to the hotel's side entrance, and then the hotel shuttle took us to the lobby. 👍 The hotel lobby is much larger than the InterContinental Sanya Dadonghai, and the overall scale feels comparable to the Westin Wanning/Lingshui. The room was spacious, bright, and comfortable. The fruit was delicious, and the room was equipped with Baishui Mountain mineral water, with Pure Enjoyment still water for refills. During our stay, whenever I contacted Kaylee, she responded immediately and acted quickly, even when she was off duty, which was impressive! So nice! 👍 Before coming, I learned that the hotel has a large fish tank with many fish, including sea turtles and manta rays. So, I took my child to the viewing tunnel on B2. My child was deeply fascinated by the fish, especially when they saw a giant grouper. My child blurted out, ”Look, fish 2.0!” I was puzzled, and my child explained it was like ”oil tanker 2.0,” with a bunch of smaller fish (like planes) following it. 🤭 We also saw a mermaid show. However, due to the distance of the performance area and limited visibility at the bottom of the tank, we could only see silhouettes. Fortunately, there were pictures of the mermaid show on the tunnel wall, which allowed me to explain it to my child in detail. The entire tunnel wall was covered with科普资料 (scientific information) about various fish, allowing for both viewing and learning. 👍 The tunnel also had multiple observation windows, so you could find your best viewing angle. 👍 The hotel boasts a vast lawn. Looking out, the skyline, the ocean, the greenery, and the lawn were truly refreshing. 👍 The waves in Haitang Bay are indeed strong and powerful, far exceeding those in Wanning and Lingshui. The beach quality is much better than Yalong Bay. We even encountered crabs during the day. 🤗 The breakfast restaurant was spacious, with ample seating. Even during peak hours, we didn't see guests waiting in line. The breakfast spread was rich, and they even offered specialty Xinglong coffee. The lobby staff were enthusiastic and all smiles. Seeing us with our luggage, they proactively helped us move it. 👍 Big kudos again to Kaylee from guest relations! 👍 And kudos to the hotel for its excellent service! 👍

The environment is actually pretty good. As an older five-star hotel, the service isn't bad at all. I was traveling alone and just looking to relax, so I didn't have any special demands and booked a basic garden view room. The facilities are indeed quite old-fashioned, and its reputation for having a guesthouse-like vibe is well-deserved. However, staying here was actually alright. The sea in Yalong Bay is truly beautiful, and the Mangrove Tree Resort has a prime beachfront location. If you're looking for beautiful scenery and great photo opportunities, this place is worth it. But if you're looking to relax and prioritize bedding and comfort, you might want to reconsider. From my experience staying at various places on this trip, the Mangrove Tree Resort just doesn't cut it when it comes to comfort.

I had a pleasant stay at Atour Hotel Haikou Wanguo Metropolitan Qilou Old Street. Prior to arrival, I requested an early check-in as well as a high-floor room away from the lifts if possible, and the hotel accommodated both requests perfectly. The room was located on a high floor and offered a fantastic 270-degree panoramic view, which was undoubtedly the highlight of my stay. The front desk team was exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout. Special thanks to Front Desk Manager 万新, team member 幸怡, and the rest of the team, who went above and beyond in assisting with the collection of multiple parcels before my arrival. Their proactive assistance and warm hospitality were greatly appreciated. Communication was also very convenient, as the front desk was highly responsive via WeChat and quick to assist whenever needed. Some feedback during the stay: The room itself had a somewhat unconventional layout, likely due to the building's structure and the corner positioning required to achieve the panoramic view - totally understandable and appreciate the Front Desk for explaining it to me upon my arrival. From previous reviews, I had expected the room to feature smart controls (possibly Xiaodu, heated/automated toilet bowl as seen on other reviews), but I was not briefed on any smart room functions during check-in and could not seem to activate them myself. This was not a major issue, but a brief introduction during check-in or a simple user guide in the room would have been helpful. The panoramic view was absolutely stunning, especially during the day and around sunset. One thing to note, however, is that the floor-to-ceiling windows allow a significant amount of sunlight into the room. On particularly sunny days, the room could feel quite warm even with the air-conditioning running at full blast. Blackout curtains are provided, of course, but drawing them somewhat defeats the purpose of enjoying such a spectacular view. Breakfast was decent, offering a reasonable variety of options, although nothing particularly stood out. It was perfectly adequate for starting the day, but not one of the hotel's main highlights. One small observation regarding housekeeping: on my third morning, while I was heading out for breakfast, a housekeeper casually asked me in the corridor whether I was ”still staying today.” I understood that she was likely trying to confirm whether the room required servicing or whether I would be checking out, but the phrasing felt a little awkward. A more guest-friendly way of asking might create a better impression. A couple of other points worth noting: sound insulation around the room doors could be improved, as neighbouring room doors closing could be quite noticeable. In addition, the room door requires a firm push to shut completely; otherwise, an alarm will sound. There were also some mosquitoes around the hotel premises, although the room was thoughtfully equipped with an electronic mosquito repellent. The hotel's location is reasonably convenient, but it is worth noting that it is not quite as close to Qilou Old Street and some of the nearby attractions as I had initially expected. While the area is technically walkable, Haikou's heat and humidity can make the walk feel much longer and less pleasant, especially during the day. In practice, I often found myself opting for Didi (online-hailing app)instead. Not a major drawback, but something to keep in mind if you plan to explore the area primarily on foot Overall, the excellent service, responsive staff, and spectacular panoramic view made for a very enjoyable stay. Despite a few minor quirks, I would happily stay here again on a future visit to Haikou.

This is a courtyard-style hotel, beautifully situated halfway up the mountain. Robert checked us in with excellent and incredibly patient service, explaining all the hotel facilities and nearby attractions. I was extremely pleased with the room upon entering; it was wonderfully cool and comfortable because the air conditioning had been turned on in advance. The room was also very spacious, and the cleanliness was top-notch. Any service we needed was promptly delivered by staff, and even our takeaways were brought to the room by a robot! The hotel felt very safe and secure. I saw a swimming pool below my room, but unfortunately, my itinerary was too packed to enjoy it. I would definitely stay here again if I get the chance.

The hotel exceeded our expectations! There were so many activities, perfect for families with kids. Our butler, Xigua, provided exceptional service, even bringing us fruit and a souvenir. Throughout our stay, the service was top-notch; they even helped with food deliveries. The scenery of Haitang Bay behind the hotel is stunning, and every staff member was incredibly friendly. The breakfast was delicious too! Butler Xigua was very thoughtful and provided excellent service.

First, the pros: The hotel is very close to the sea; you can walk out from the ground floor and be on the beach in a few dozen meters. Since it's at the very end, the beach is quite clean. The rooms are also clean, and the housekeeping staff are all very friendly. There's a pharmacy and a small convenience store right in the hotel lobby, which is quite convenient for buying medicine and other necessities. The concierge service was also excellent, actively helping with luggage upon arrival and departure. There's even a ** (food delivery) locker at the lobby entrance, which makes ordering takeout very convenient. Now, the cons: The front desk service was terrible. The room they initially assigned us could only be used for showering while standing in the bathtub. Since one of my companions had difficulty with their leg, I asked for a different room. The front desk staff immediately told me the hotel was fully booked and there were no other rooms available. I had no choice but to contact Ctrip, and they quickly arranged a room change for us. When checking out, I requested a late check-out because my child needed an afternoon nap. Again, the front desk told me the hotel was fully booked and we could only stay until 12:30 PM. However, before calling, I had already checked the booking page, and our room type was still available for sale that day, so it wasn't fully booked. Oh well, we checked out on time. Breakfast: The variety was extremely limited, and most of the options seemed more suitable for Russians. I stayed for three days, and as a woman with a small appetite, I never felt full. In the evening, there's also a self-service BBQ on the ground floor for 98 yuan per person. I wouldn't recommend making a special trip to Bohou Village Night Market; it's just a short road, a few dozen meters long, entirely filled with BBQ stalls. If you plan to book this hotel, I suggest getting a full sea-view room directly. The full sea-view rooms seem to have been renovated, and the facilities look newer. Also, a word of advice: do not book through **. I saw others who booked through **, and when issues arose, the hotel and ** just passed the buck, leaving the customer to suffer. This trip was long with many uncertainties, and I deeply experienced Ctrip's problem-solving capabilities. They truly are the king of the tourism industry; kudos to Ctrip! 👍

The hotel was quiet and uncrowded, giving off a perfect vacation vibe. The room was clean and comfortable, and the service was very responsive to all our needs. The breakfast also had an à la carte menu, which was exquisite and delicious. I accidentally left a piece of clothing when I checked out, and the hotel proactively contacted me and even helped mail it to my home. I'm very grateful for that!
