Guest UserI booked this hotel because I had an early 7 AM flight. It's easily accessible from Queenstown via bus route 1, and bus route 3 takes you to a supermarket near the airport, which is super convenient. I had originally planned to walk to the airport (about a 20-minute walk), but I easily caught a taxi at 5 AM for 20 NZD. The front desk staff was very friendly and attentive, especially a lady with a French accent. The front desk closes after 8 PM, but you can self-check-in/out with a key card. The room itself was well-equipped, thoughtfully laid out, clean, and tidy, with kitchen facilities and a washing machine.

The hotel environment is particularly good, the proprietress is a Chinese sister, especially good, give me milk, it is very quiet, and very close to the scenic spot, there is a McDonald's and gas station ten meters away, there is a fish and chips 100 meters away, and the Chinese are also delicious but not friendly. In short, the hotel is very clean, the location is good, convenient and fast, parking is very convenient

ShosangThe price was great, really affordable. Parking is limited, and many spots without the hotel's logo require payment, so be careful not to make a mistake. Overall, the room conditions were excellent, and there's a simple, free gym. It's a 5-minute drive to Queenstown Airport and 15 minutes to the city center, so it's right by the airport – perfect for those with a car. There's also a washing machine, dryer, and a heated towel rail.

The room was incredibly spacious and even had a microwave, which was great for heating up food purchased from the supermarket. It also boasted a large balcony with fantastic lake views. The only thing to be aware of is the steep uphill walk from town to the hotel, which could be a bit slippery in winter. Overall, it offers excellent value for money and a prime location.

PuwuNestled in a valley just 20 minutes from Queenstown, this hidden gem is a hidden gem.
The hotel rooms are very fancy, and there's even an open-air bathtub, an indoor swimming pool, and a spa.
The value for money is truly excellent. Highly recommended!

Amber Jong“Fantastic stay – highly recommend!”
I had an excellent stay at the Cambridge Hotel. The location is perfect, within easy walking distance to major attractions, restaurants, and public transport. The room was clean, modern, and very comfortable, with a great city view from the balcony.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay, always going above and beyond to assist with any requests. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient.
The facilities were also impressive, especially the indoor pool and overall cleanliness of the hotel. Everything felt well-maintained and welcoming.
Overall, this hotel offers great value for money, combining comfort, convenience, and excellent service. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Guest UserLooks like we got a recently renovated apartment. It was clean, spacious, and well-maintained. Housekeeping was prompt whenever we needed it.Basement parking was available for our stay, and the unit was conveniently located next to a staircase leading directly to Stanley Street, where our ski bus pick-up point was. It was also less than a 10-minute walk to the town centre. Overall, no regrets—it was an excellent choice and great value for the price.

We were pleasantly surprised to find what looked like a recently renovated apartment. It was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. Basement parking was available, and the unit was conveniently located beside a staircase leading directly to Stanley Street, where our ski bus departed. The town centre was also less than a 10-minute walk away. Great location, excellent value for money, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Jeannie Ch——Had 2 stuffed toys of great sentimental value removed from my room. One was my dog’s toy which we slept with and he had died only recently. Informed & explained to Duty Manager at night and front desk the next morning. They could not address my distress & anxiety as I was leaving to catch flight out. Just told me how improbable rhe incident is, doubted me and left me to simply wait for their news while they took time to check with the relevant departments. After waiting hours and receiving no response via phone call, WhatsApp and email, an understanding friend who is a NZer helped me call them to follow up. Only then, she found someone responsive enough to actively search. Disappointed with hotel’s general lack of understanding & poor response.
Other than above crucial point, hotel & room were nothing great despite their high rate. Other hotels charge as high like a more well known one across the road and friends thought it was better.
Other staff encountered were friendly and performed well.
Strongest point is its proximity to bus stop for key services to outer parts of Queenstown.

The Mercure Queenstown feels quite dated, though that was expected. What disappointed me more was the overall maintenance and poor soundproofing—I could hear loud thumping from the room above. The bathroom has been renovated, but amenities were lacking (barely any soap or shampoo), the shower leaked making everything wet, and the door was stiff and noisy to close. Both the bathroom and the room were cold, as the air conditioning only managed to heat partially. Paid parking for hotel guests is simply absurd. On a positive note, breakfast was acceptable.
The View is although the big PLUS.

Zhang(xinyan)We chose the Hilton again for our trip to Queenstown, New Zealand. While it's not right in the town center, transportation is super convenient. The hotel has its own water taxi that goes to and from the center daily. The first boat leaves at 8:15 AM, and then it's hourly after that. It costs 14 NZD per person and takes about 25 minutes. The last return trip is at 9:45 PM, and there's a timetable available at the front desk. The hotel is also only a ten-minute drive from the airport.
The hotel's setting and views are absolutely beautiful, right on the lake. You can take a lovely stroll along the lakeside in the mornings, and the restaurant is right there, so you can enjoy the lake view while you eat. The hotel has a Western restaurant, a bar and restaurant, and a coffee shop. The breakfast buffet is served in the Western restaurant and opens at 6 AM, which is great for guests who want to get an early start on their sightseeing. The food selection is comprehensive and tasty too! We had dinner at the Western restaurant on our first night and it was excellent, the steak was fantastic! The bar and restaurant is also good; on our last day, we got back late from our Milford Sound tour and just ordered pizza and beer at the bar. The pizza was absolutely delicious! The bar atmosphere was great too!
We booked a lake view king room, and the layout was nice, with full amenities. The hotel also has a pool, and the gym is open 24 hours. All in all, our stay and dining experience were very comfortable! Highly recommended!
