Good
GGuest UserWe booked Standard room and very nice. It was spacious, newly renovated and bathroom was large. The reception is inside a bar and had hard time to see from outside. Maybe can improve to add some direction from outside. Overall, room was good. I got about 99 euros for saturday night. Price might change depending on date.
VVadim ZahharovPlace was exactly as advertised. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth staying if your trip is short.
As for downsides, hostel has limited number of bathrooms and showers - this can cause issues if you have to leave quickly. The ventilation in rooms is basically non-existent, and rooms house up to 10 people, so I’ll leave the air quality to your imagination. Sound isolation is not great, so if somebody has a good time in the kitchen you’ll going to hear that. Bring earplugs if you are light sleeper. Cleanliness is subjective, I’m not that picky, but having crumbs in my bed was disconcerting. Some sinks have filters with hair in them. Haven’t seen anything that would be actually harmful like mold or hygiene products, so that is good.
Location is good. Liverpool is not that big and you’ll get to city centre in under an hour even with most leisurely pace. Do visit the cathedral on your way there. I haven’t seen any shops in immediate vicinity though, but I didn’t need them, so maybe you find some if you look. Bus stop for airport is fairly close, so that is a plus as well.
Overall, this is a hostel. You can sleep there, store your stuff and maybe have a chat with interesting people. Price is fair for experience.
SShanghailinxiGood location. Next to the bar street. Deafening disco sound at 3 am. If you like clubbing, you should like it. I don't go to bars, it feels like a nightmare. I can't sleep at night. Luggage storage is charged. Friendly staff. Strict access control.
PPootleA fantastic place to stay! Warm, modern and welcoming. All
The staff are lovely and friendly. Our private en suite room and bathroom was spacious, clean and tidy, the reception area modern and welcoming too. Car parking available if you need it. The staff even made us a pizza at 11pm as we arrived back tired, wet and cold from being at the match.
The best bit was the breakfast, it was amazing and in a separate dinjng area. Full choice of traditional hot English breakfast or continental. Fresh coffee and tea and juices too.
GGuest UserJai was welcomed by James and Tim, two super people who, despite my English banking, managed to comfort me and be listening.
Near Anfield Stadium I really recommend this spot for football amateurs.
Thank you very much to the team for welcomed and helped me.
I recommend!!!
GGuest UserThis hotel is very nice and clean. I booked a dorm for ladies. It was clean and quiet. I think the location is very good. It's only a 10-minute walk from the train station. There are also churches and other attractions around it. It's only a 10-minute walk to the city center. There is also a spacious kitchen with free tea and coffee. You can cook your own food. There is a refrigerator, microwave and toaster. However, it was off-season when I went there and it was very empty. They have a lot of rooms. If they are full in the peak season, the experience may be different. Next time I go to Liverpool, I will choose here again. I used a credit card to book the room, and the front desk asked me for the credit card to verify. This is the first time I have encountered such a thing because there is a risk of fraud. I also entered the card number and quickly peeked at the security code on the back of the card. However, I had covered the security code with paper before, so I don't know if asking for a credit card is a regular operation. Anyway, I covered the security code in advance.
