1101806****Stayed for two nights over the weekend with my parents, and the whole family was very satisfied. To be honest, none of us really did much research for the trip. We owe it all to our wonderful butler, Ada. From before check-in, to the check-in process itself, booking hotel restaurants, arranging a birthday surprise, recommending local attractions, and check-out – she provided high-quality information, suggestions, and arrangements every step of the way. She saved us from any detours or wasted time. Ada was truly instrumental in making our family trip so enjoyable these past two days. The breakfast was another highlight. Not because of the whole lamb ribs, beef short ribs, and ham, but because even with a large number of diners and a queue, the overall replenishment of food, clearing of dirty tables, seating, and even the coordination by the management team were all incredibly well-organized. It's clear that the restaurant's management level is on par with any major brand resort hotel. We plan to visit again when the weather gets warmer. The only minor complaints: the room was too cold, and the Chinese restaurant was too hot. 🥵

SShengjiyouxiang1858When the quaint Wuzhen-like water town, with its grey bricks and black tiles, dons its Christmas attire, winter is no longer just a monotonous white. Beautifully decorated Christmas trees and lights as dazzling as a starry river transform the scene. To experience the unique charm of a northern water town, my family and I stayed at the Gubei Star Hotel in Gubei Water Town. To my surprise, we encountered one pleasant surprise after another! 💕 1️⃣ Gubei Water Town offered free admission throughout December! 🎫 That saved us over 200 CNY for two people. 2️⃣ Free shuttle bus rides made exploring the water town a breeze. 🚌 3️⃣ Drone shows, light displays, and musical fountain shows were all free of charge. 4️⃣ We received complimentary hot spring tickets, 🛁 allowing us to enjoy a warm soak in the winter. ♨️ 📍 Gubei Star Hotel boasts an excellent location, just a five-minute walk from Riyue Island. 🏠 The hotel has over 300 rooms, possibly making it the largest hotel within the scenic area. Our room was incredibly spacious, bright, elegant, and fresh. 🛏️ The bedding was clean, tidy, soft, and comfortable. ☕️ The room even had a capsule coffee machine with two complimentary coffee capsules. 🛋️ Next to the window, there was a small side table beside the sofa, perfect for writing or holding books and coffee – very practical. 🖼️ The lobby had several elegant and comfortable seating areas. 🍛 Breakfast was absolutely fantastic with a wide variety of choices – a must-try! Check-in was quick and convenient, and the hotel staff were warm, thoughtful, and meticulous. We even received a complimentary room upgrade this time, offering views of the Yuantong Pagoda and the surrounding night scenery. We were absolutely thrilled! 🥳

GGuest UserStanley and team were great! He even took the extra steps to contact us for our upcoming trip and to arrange for necessary accommodation upgrade due to the winter weather condition. Very understanding and communications were promptly responded and our check in was smooth! All went well and the stay over Christmas at the Chairman suite was great with the fireplace which was memorable for us! Breakfast variety was limited but quality over quantity! Good and well prepared breakfast.. Children loved the add on baguette and dumplings served ! Nice touch.. Nitin was very friendly and helpful during our stay showing us around and coming over at night to assist with our TV signal. Overall very impressed with brickyard retreat and would definitely recommend for all.

__WeChat52564****Because of my child's competition, I didn't want to commute back and forth to the city. I wanted my child to get an early night's sleep and have breakfast available. The hotel is very large, but the management isn't up to par, especially the dining. The facilities are good, and the hygiene is fine, but the food just isn't good. You can't even buy good food with money! This is quite thoughtless for kids who are here for competitions. We might come back here again, and I hope there will be improvements. Thank you. Oh, and the hot springs were pretty good; the water was clean, and it felt comfortable after a soak. The service was warm and attentive. Haha, in a nutshell, improve the dining, and I'd give it a five-star review! 😇

MM791166****The room was very spacious and well-equipped. The underfloor heating was a lifesaver against the cold, and a hot bath after hiking the Great Wall really helped relieve the fatigue. It's only a ten-minute walk from the hotel to the Great Wall entrance, as well as the scenic area and commercial street. The hotel's own restaurant offered reasonably priced dishes, no overcharging there. The front desk lady was very kind and even helped me carry my suitcase up the stairs. We were lucky enough to experience a beautiful snowfall during our stay, which made for a stunning view.

GGuest UserStayed at the Commune by the Great Wall's Bamboo House with the kids, and it was a pretty good experience! The Bamboo House has a unique and quiet design, making it especially family-friendly. With several rooms, it's also perfect for gatherings with friends and their families. It's only a five-minute drive to the Shuiguan Great Wall, which is a less crowded and more challenging section, almost like having the whole place to yourself. I do hope the activities and dining options within the resort could be a bit more diverse next time. 👍 A big thank you to Olivier and Sunny for their thoughtful and attentive service throughout our stay – they were warm, meticulous, and always ready to help. We'll definitely be back!

QQuin56Review: Stay Home This trip was like an encounter with prehistoric man and a case study of a failed business combined. If you book a standard room, you will be taken away from the five star reception area to another building which has the decor and standards of a thirty year old hotel. Faded carpets, peeling walls, smelly interiors, uncleaned floors and rooms which are impossible to heat. But it was just about liveable, in that it had a bed and hot water. What totally failed to impress were the amenities. We'd come for the children's stuff, the little zoo, water park and others. The price of these are not included in the hotel, and for each experience they charge adults and baby to the tune of 80rmb, meaning you will spend quite a bit to use it all. As soon as I saw the children's rides I became depressed, they were rusting and looked murderous, as if the nuts and bolts would be dislodged and explode fatally in all directions if a kid shook too heavily on the things. To even use anything suggested you'd become unclean as well. Then you attempt to ask staff something but stop when you realise how futile it would be to address someone with one eye in its forehead and the other in its chin, with their peers boasting similarly fascinating facial misalignments. An hour of that and we wanted to leave, including our baby. She would have been much happier at home playing with her toys, or rather just happy at home doing anything than being at the Nirvana resort. Anyway, the swimming pool is not free either, they will charge you 58 a person including child. When I went to ask about a swim, staff were downright stunned I'd walked in to ask such a question, watching as I entered and left with hillbilly intensity and incomprehension. You can see the park had a lot of money invested in it before, way back in the misty past, but I can't see them recouping their losses. The resort is a grab money scheme with separate interests taking care of, or neglecting, what is on offer. I can't see them attracting a moneyed middle class without a total overhaul. On the plus side, my wife and I did have a good laugh about how bad it was and the fact we'd packed for a few days in expectation of a holiday, but found ourselves cancelling after an hour. The reception was helpful with this and refunded our money. The staff are well meaning in a vacuous kind of way, going about their duties as the whole place drops about them, broken lifts, falling plaster, water leaks and all. But to be sincerely positive, the gardens are pleasant along with the lake and ducks.

LLaogandaixiaoganMy family and I have been visiting for nearly a decade now – my child was just a little girl when we first started coming here! Our experience earlier this year was particularly good. The rooms were pleasantly scented, clean, and tidy. The overall package, including the hot springs, swimming, fitness facilities, and buffet breakfast, offered excellent value for money. The hot spring experience this time was exceptionally good, with great attention to detail. It was evident that the hotel places great importance on the water quality and environment in the hot springs area. We're particularly grateful to Manager Wang Fang, who oversees the hot springs. Her service is consistently excellent each year, always warm and personally attentive. The breakfast, as always, was incredibly rich, offering a wide array of both Chinese and Western options. We hope the prices remain affordable during the winter peak season, especially for loyal, returning guests like us.

KKeleweidedashaziHaving spent considerable time in the vicinity of the International Club, International Building, Japanese Embassy, Associated Press, and Ritan Park, I'm very familiar with this area. The hotel is strategically located just off Chang'an Avenue, at No. 21 Jianguomenwai Avenue, Chaoyang District, Beijing. It's situated in the heart of the CBD, adjacent to Chang'an Avenue and the Embassy District. Jianguomen subway station is a mere 7-minute walk away, and iconic landmarks like Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City are just a few blocks from the hotel. It also offers convenient access to vibrant shopping and entertainment hubs such as Guomao, Wangfujing, and Sanlitun. I myself spent nearly a decade working in the International Building. Upon entering the lobby, its high ceilings and grand, pillarless design create a truly magnificent impression. The suites are thoughtfully laid out and exude an elegant, classic charm. A serene garden with a gentle flowing fountain enhances the overall sophisticated ambiance. Despite opening in 1997, the facilities are comprehensive, and the environment, cleanliness, and service all maintain a first-class standard. The standout feature is the unforgettable butler service; the personalized, one-on-one attention makes you feel right at home. The 24-hour comprehensive butler team provides exceptional service, anticipating and fulfilling every guest's need. Our butlers, Jasmine, Parker, Alex, and Bradley, orchestrated a series of unique experiences, including the St. Regis's classic traditional ritual of champagne sabrage. This spectacular event took place in the gallery of the Danielli Italian Restaurant on the hotel's second floor, where guests collectively raised their glasses, savored exquisite champagne, and celebrated. The sabered champagne cork was then presented as a cherished keepsake. Dylan Zhao and Candie (灿灿) went above and beyond, waiting for our return even after we came back late from a football match at Workers' Stadium. As we opened the door, they were already there, ready to welcome us home with comforting warm honey-lemon water and hot peppermint Earl Grey tea, perfectly prepared for optimal flavor. Their handwritten cards were also a thoughtful touch, now treasured keepsakes. They truly made our St. Regis night wonderful, cozy, and unforgettable. While there's so much more I wish to express, my feelings at this moment are truly beyond words, deeply etched in my heart. This unforgettable St. Regis experience will forever be etched in my memory. I look forward to returning on August 25, 2025. My sincerest thanks once again to The St. Regis Hotel for everything.

CCheeeellyHad a fantastic weekend stay at the Marriott乐多港! A special shout-out to our dedicated butler, David – his service was incredibly professional and attentive.
